Summary
One Piece’sFinal Saga continues to pick up in terms of intensity, and as things stand, a lot of exciting events are currently going on and at the same time in the world. It is safe to say that the world ofOne Pieceis in more chaos than ever before, and things are only going to get even more chaotic from here onwards. There are multiple factions that are currently warring in the One Piece world, and fans know for a fact that the biggest war of all, that is, the Great War against the World Government, is coming as well.
In fact, it has already been triggered, although in a controlled manner. This trigger was pulled by none other thanthe leader of the Revolutionary Army, Dragon. By declaring war against them, he has forced those at the top to send their elites, the God’s Knights, into action. The God’s Knights are certainly going to be seen more often in the Final Saga of One Piece, but fans know little about them. Their leader was already revealed to them quite a while ago. That said, due to the current circumstances in the story that unfolded after the Egghead arc, fans now think that the God’s Knights might need a new leader, after all.
The Current/Former Leader Of The God’s Knights
The God’s Knights is a powerful unit that fans got introduced to recently in One Piece. Simply put, God’s Knights are incredibly powerful, and they control the judiciary matters within the Holy Land of Marijoa. At the same time, they are the ones who uphold the law and pass sentences as well. Essentially, they are the military force within the Holy Land of Marijoa, and that essentially means that they are incredibly powerful. In fact, the power of the God’s Knights is such that they are believed to be strong enough to go up against the Revolutionary Army and put up a solid fight.
Let’s get along then and make the world a better place, fellow Elders! – Garling
Dragon certainly believes the God’s Knights to be strong enough to put up a decent fight against them and the fact that the RA is wary of them is an indication of how strong they are supposed to leave. Unfortunately, the fans don’t know many members of the God’s Knights at this point in time. The only named member of the God’s Knights that the fans know is their Supreme Commander, or in other words, their leader, and that is Saint Garling Figarland.
Garling was revealed to be the leader of this unit rather recently in One Piece, around the time Egghead was ongoing. Fans also know Saint Garling to be incredibly important in the story. This character holds tremendous power, as is expected as the man sitting at the top of the judicial arm of the Celestial Dragons. In fact, he is one of the few people who are actually allowed to hurt a Celestial Dragon. This was implied in the Egghead arc, where he executed Saint Mjosgard for aiding Fishman and Merfolk and allowing those responsible for laying hands on a Celestial Dragon escape. Mjosgardwas killed by Saint Garling, which just goes to show how important he truly is. To add to that, fans also know that Saint Garling Figarland is Shanks’s very own father. This attaches even more importance to his character, and also goes to show how strong this guy truly is.
Why The God’s Knights Need A New Leader
The God’s Knights Are Monstrously Powerful But Need Someone To Direct Them
While Saint Garling Figarland is incredibly powerful, and is in no way incompetent, fans know that the God’s Knights need a new leader. This has to do with the recent turn of events in One Piece towards the end of the Egghead Island arc. For those who don’t know, Saint Garling Figarland was recently bestowed with even greater powers. During the events of the Egghead Island arc, Saint Saturn lost his position as an Elder.
Most of this happened because of his failure to stop Straw Hat Luffy, or in other words, Joy Boy, from escaping from Egghead. His failures were further compounded by the fact that he could not fulfill the job of killing every single Vegapunk satellite, and at the same time, allowed for Vegapunk’s words to be transmitted to all over the world.
Saint Saturn’s failures were such that Imu took it upon himself to essentially kill him and strip away his immortality. The only thing left of Saturn was a sack of bones which fans saw clearly at the end ofOne Piecechapter 1125.
As such, it was clear for the fans to see that one of the members of the Five Elders was essentially dead. Naturally, a replacement for the Elder was necessary, and that is where Saint Garling Figarland came in. Essentially, Saint Garling Figarland is the new Godhead of Science and Defense, which means that he has been chosen as an Elder. Naturally, Garling can’t play two roles at once. If he is a member of the Five Elders, that means he has bigger responsibilities now, and those responsibilities were clearly outlined in one case chapter 1125.Saint Garling is to take charge of the process of making eternal Motherflame.
This means he has York under him, and the entire laboratory that has been successfully seized from Egghead is going to fall under him as well. Garling has a lot of new responsibilities to tend to, and that essentially means that he cannot play his role as the Supreme Commander of the God’s Knights anymore. This essentially means that there is a need for a new Supreme Commander of the God’s Knights, and a very important character could come into play here.
Who Could The New Leader Of The God’s Knights Be?
Shanks Has Other Siblings Who Could Fulfill This Role
For now, fans don’t know who the Supreme Commander of the God’s Knights is going to be for sure. This is simply down to the fact that fans don’t even know many members of the God’s Knights. There are some that fans got to see in the Kuma flashback on the island of God Valley, but none of them were named. However, curiously enough, fans do know one individual who could go on to hold the mantle of the God’s Knights that Garling left behind. This person is none other thanthe child of Saint Garling Figarland.
Watch closely, children! – Garling
For those who do not know, Saint Garling doesn’t just have one child. In fact, in the Kuma flashback, he clearly implied that he has more than just one child. This essentially means that Shanks has a sibling, and, given that Shanks was a newborn around the time of the God Valley Incident, it is likely that he has an elder brother or an elder sister. This elder brother or sister could very well be the onewho replaces Saint Garling as the Supreme Commander of the God’s Knights.
In fact, this ties in very well with the silhouette that fans recently saw in One Piece, when Vegapunk’s message came to an end. The silhouette showed a figure who looked somewhat similar to Shanks, wielding a saber, just like Garling and Shanks himself. Furthermore, when the silhouette of the God’s Knights was presented through Dragon, and saw a figure who looked exactly like Shanks. Once again, it is highly likely that the person who is goingto replace Saint Garling Figarlandas the Supreme Commander of the God’s Knights is Shanks’s very own brother, and fans are eager to know more about this individual.
