This article contains spoilers from One Piece’s Egghead Arc.
Summary
Nico Robin is one ofOne Piece’smost important characters and certainly Luffy’s key to theOne Pieceitself. Robin is from Ohara, which essentially means that she is the last living scholar from this land. Robin possesses tremendous knowledge, and the fact that she possesses the abilityto decipher the Poneglyphs, which the World Government considers forbidden, means that she is highly wanted in the One Piece World.
Over the years, Robin has only gone from strength to strength and, at the same time, become more infamous along the way. Robin has received many bounties inOne Piece, with her most recent one being sizable, and setting her up for even bigger rewards in the future.
479 Million Berries
Robin Became Wanted For Poneglyph Knowledge
Robin’s very first bounty that was slapped on her head was 79 million berries. This was a staggering bounty that she received only at the age of eight. Robin wasthe last known survivor from the land of Ohara, and this survival was thanks to none other than then-Vice Admiral Kuzan.
He allowed Robin to live, and after she set out on her own journey, the World Government recognized her as a survivor, essentially slapping a 79 million berry reward on her head. This was an insanely high reward for an 8-year-old child, and just went to show the severity of the situation, and the danger that Robin’s ability posed to them. Robin held this reward for many years to come, and even as Miss All Sunday, she had the very same bounty.
380 Million Berries
Robin’s Infamy Rose When She Joined Luffy
Robin’s 79 million Barry bounty stayed with her for quite a long time. In fact, while she served as a member of the Strawhat Pirates, she still had the 79 million berry reward on her head. Robin eventually reached Water 7, where the World Government decided to blackmail her and essentially force her to go with them.
This triggered an exciting chain of events, which caused the Strawhat Piratesto invade the judicial island of the World Government, Enies Lobby. On the island of Enies Lobby, Robin was rescued by the Strawhat Pirates, and she was grateful for all the effort that they put into making this possible. The events after Enies Lobby led to a huge bounty rise in all the major Straw Hats.
Unfortunately, for her, the bounty increase wasn’t staggering at all, which was a rather strange decision by Oda. Robin’s bounty went from 79 million berries to 80 million berries, with an increase of 1 million. Given that Robin held the ability to decipher Poneglyphs, her bounty should certainly have been in the hundreds already at this point in the story.
2130 Million Berries
Robin Became Stronger After The Timeskip
The Strawhat Pirates held their bounties from Enies Lobby up until much later into the post-timeskip. The only exception to this rule was Luffy, whose involvement in the events of the Paramount War led to him getting a new bounty and a 100 million raise, pushing his total reward to 400 million. In the case of Robin, however, she kept her 80 million bounty up until the events of the Dressrosa arc.
In this Arc,every single Straw Hat Pirategot involved in some way or form, including those who left quite early to go to Zou. All the Strawhat Pirates got major bounty increases on Dressrosa, and this was especially the case because this marked their return after a 2-year break in a grand fashion. Robin was no different in this regard, and her bounty went from 80 million to 130 million berries. Once again, this was not enough for her, and it didn’t do justice to the level of strength, and the severity of the information that she held.
1930 Million Berries
Robin Beat Black Maria
Robin took part in the War on Onigashima with the rest of the Straw Hats and other alliance members. Once again, Robin was pivotal here, especially because Oda gave her a proper moment to shine in this Arc.Robin fought against Black Mariaand utterly demolished her in combat.
Even after the fight, Robin had a tussle with the CP0, although she was largely running away from them. After this Arc, the information that she holds is now more scary than ever before, especially now that she’s under the umbrella of a Yonko. Robin’s reward was raised dramatically afterthe events of the Wano Country Arc, and her bounty went from 130 million berries to 930 million berries, which was a staggering increase of 800 million. Even this reward isn’t enough for Robin, and her bounty should certainly be in the billions at this point. Hopefully, Oda will see to it that Robin gets a reward that is deserving of her ability and skill. When the Straw Hat Pirates get their next bounties, Robin’s is sure to push into the billions.
