Summary

The Elbaf Arc has officially begun inOne Piece, and it’s already shaping up to be a game-changer for the Straw Hat crew. The original East Blue members—Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Usopp, and Sanji—have been mysteriously teleported to a peculiar part of Elbaf. This isn’t the familiar land of giant everyone expected, though. Instead, they’re dropped into a bizarre worldwhere towering houses are built from LEGO-like bricks, giant bees patrol the skies, and the landscape feels as surreal as it does dangerous. But the real hook is that one of the Giants mentionYggdrasil—the legendary World Tree from Norse mythology, said to connect the Nine Realms.

IfEgghead Islandfelt like a mirror to Sabaody, Elbaf seems ready to reflect what came after: the crew’s separation, growth, and eventual reunion. This time, though, the stakes are higher. Each of the Straw Hats will be thrown into one of Yggdrasil’s Nine Realms, a perfect thematic fit for their characters and abilities. And as Straw Hats prepare forthe final stretch of their journey as a Yonko crew, there’s no better setup for the ultimate power-up montage as they gear up for the final arc.

Franky Will Go To Nidavellir, the Realm of the Dwarves

If there’s one place in the Nine Realms that feels tailor-made for Franky, it’s Nidavellir.

In Norse mythology, Nidavellir is home to the dwarves, master craftsmen responsible for creating legendary items like Thor’s hammer, Mjölnir. For a shipwright like Franky, who’s already a genius when it comes to building and inventing, this is the ultimate playground.

Franky’s role in the crew isn’t just about keeping the Thousand Sunny in pristine condition; it’s about pushing the limits of what’s possible. Whether it’s building new weapons or upgrading the ship itself, Franky’s ingenuity is a cornerstone of the Straw Hats’ strength. Nidavellir offers the perfect setting for him to hone his craft even further. Now that Vegapunk isn’t around anymore, andFranky is expected to build Pluton(the strongest ship inOne Piecehistory), Nidavellir is the only place that might be able to give him the tools to achieve this.

Brook Will Go To Niflheim, the Realm of the Dead

Brook couldn’t find himself in a more fitting realm than Niflheim. In Norse mythology, Niflheim is filled with primordial ice and an eerie, foreboding atmosphere. It’s often associated with death and darkness, ruled by the goddess Hel, who presides over the dead. Given Brook’s own status as the Straw Hats’ resident undead skeleton, the connection feels almost too perfect.

Brook’s ice-related abilities align seamlessly with the frosty, bitter environment of Niflheim. He’s the only member of the crew who can literally embrace the cold——when has he ever failed to mention that he is dead? But it’s not just about his morbid sense of humor—Niflheim could push Brook to evolve his abilities, especially those tied to his soul powers and connection to death.

Chopper and Jinbei Will Go To Midgard, the Realm of Humanity

In a twist that’s as poetic as it is symbolic, Chopper and Jinbei might find themselves in Midgard—the realm of humans. Known as the mortal world in Norse mythology, Midgard is the everyday, human-inhabited realm, starkly different from the other mythic lands tied to gods, giants, and otherworldly creatures. Sending the twoStraw Hats who’ve struggled the most with being seen as monstersinto the very heart of humanity is a brilliant narrative move.

For both Chopper and Jinbei, Midgard represents a world they’ve long struggled to be part of—whether by choice or by force. Their time here could offer a chance for reflection and growth, as they both come to terms with their place among humans while finding strength in what makes them unique.

Nami Will Go To Alfheim, the Realm of Light Elves

Like it or not, Nami’s beauty has always been a focal point in theOne Pieceworld. Whether it’s characters mistaking her for an angel, or her Wanted poster highlighting her looks more than her bounty, Oda has consistently played with the idea of Nami’s allure. Her radiance in both appearance and talent aligns seamlessly with Alfheim— home to the light elves, known for their wisdom, beauty, and magical abilities. Nami’s journey to the skies during the time skip also mirrors Alfheim’s location at the higher end of Yggdrasil.

But there’s more to this than just surface-level charm. Alfheim, with its deep ties to magic, also complements Nami’s growing mastery over the weather through herClima-Tact. Given her significance, it wouldn’t be surprising if her time in Alfheim sets up a future confrontation with Catarina Devon from Blackbeard’s crew—someone notorious for targeting beautiful women.Elbaf will be huge for Nami, its just a matter of time before it unfolds.

Robin’s Will Go To Vanaheim, the Realm of the Vanir

If there’s one Straw Hat who embodies wisdom and the thirst for knowledge, it’s Robin, making Vanaheim an obvious destination for her.

In Norse mythology, Vanaheim is the home of the Vanir, a group of gods associated with fertility, wisdom, and the ability to foresee the future. Robin’s past has been defined by her connection to Ohara,a place deeply rooted in the study of ancient history—and after the Buster Call, forever stuck in the past. Vanaheim, by contrast, is a realm that looks forward.

Here, the Vanir’s connection to foresight and wisdom allows them to glimpse what is to come, something Robin could greatly benefit from as she continues her quest to unlock the mysteries of the Void Century. Her understanding of ancient texts and lost knowledge has always been her strength, but Vanaheim offers the chance to expand her wisdom beyond the past and into the future.

Usopp Will Go To Jotunheim, the Realm of Giants

Usopp’s connection to giants has been teased since the crew first learned about Elbaf, and for years, fans have speculated that this would be Usopp’s time to shine. Now, in the Elbaf Arc, hopefully that prediction finally comes true.

Elbaf has always represented the ultimate challenge for Usopp. Giants embody everything Usopp aspires to be but often falls short of. His encounters with the giants Dorry and Brogy back in Little Garden lit the spark of that ambition, and Jotunheim is where it might finally come to life. Usopp has grown since the time skip, but many feel he still hasn’t had his full moment of development. This arc presents the perfect opportunity for him to confront his fears, rise to the occasion, and earn the respect of the giants he’s idolized for so long. If he is ever going to be the brave warrior of the sea, this is his time.

Sanji Will Go To Muspelheim, the Realm of Fire Giants

If Brook’s ice abilities land him in Niflheim, then it’s only fitting that Sanji find himself in Muspelheim. Also known as Múspellsheimr in Old Norse, Muspelheim is the realm of fire, home to the fire giants and ruled by the fearsome Surtr.

Sanji’sDiable Jambehas always been one of his most iconic abilities. In Muspelheim, Sanji has the potential topush his flame attacks to an entirely new level. Surrounded by fire giants and the raw, elemental power of the realm, Sanji could tap into even more destructive techniques, strengthening his signatureHell’s Memoriesor possibly developing new flame-based abilities.

While the thematic connection between Sanji and this realm may not be as obvious, Muspelheim represents pure, elemental power—a perfect stage for Sanji to enhance his flames and prove why he’s the Straw Hats’ strongest melee fighter.

Zoro Will Go To Helheim as the King of Hell

Zoro’s journey in the Elbaf Arc seems destined totake him straight to Helheim, and it makes perfect sense. Helheim is, quite literally, the Norse version of Hell—a cold, dark, and desolate realm reserved for the dead who didn’t die in battle. It’s the underworld of Niflheim, and no other Straw Hat fits this grim domain better than Roronoa Zoro, the “King of Hell” himself.

It’s easy to imagine Zoro either training under Hel herself, learning to control the darker, more deadly side of his power, or being forced to fight her in a brutal test of will.

What makes Helheim particularly intriguing is its place within Niflheim, the realm of mist and cold. If Brook ends up in Niflheim, we might see a connection between their fates.

Luffy Will Go To Asgard, the Realm of the Gods

If anyone is ready to stand shoulder to shoulder with gods, it’s Luffy.

Asgard is where gods like Odin, Thor, and Tyr dwell, a realm of power and authority that mirrors Luffy’s growth into one of the Four Emperors of the Sea. But more than that, Asgard offers the perfect stage for Oda to dive deeper into the mystery of Nika, the Sun God whose tale originated in Elbaf.

In Asgard, Luffy may not just meet gods—he might become one himself. With the world already viewing him as a mythic figure, it wouldn’t be surprising if Oda takes this opportunity to fully cement Luffy’s role as the embodiment of Nika. The tale of Nika, may finally come full circle in the very realm where gods dwell, as Luffy steps into a power and legacy far beyond that of any mortal pirate.
