These additions will be the first of many, asSmite 2gradually builds up its roster to match the immense size of its predecessor. Nu Wa and Amaterasu Are Next To Join Smite 2

Nu Wa and Amaterasu will be the first new additions toSmite 2and will kick off Hi-Rez Studios' plan to continue adding fan favorites from the original game. When asked about their intentions for the game post-launch, Cantatore went on to state that the aim is to introduce two gods every three weeks, either in the form of two classics from the originalSmite, or one classic and one brand-new one, such asMordred, that will be exclusive to the sequel.

“In the next update, we’re going to have Nu Wa and Amaterasu, two belovedSmite 1gods…and then three weeks after that we’ll have another two.”

The news will be music to the ears of fans of both incoming characters, as the devs tackle the enormous task of integrating the original game’sstacked roster of 130 godsinto the sequel. Cantatore acknowledged that some fans will have to wait a while for their favorite to joinSmite 2, referencing one of his own, Sylvanus, being at the back of the line.

That said, Cantatore assures the fanbase that it will continue to service the original game for as long as it has players and will continue to listen to community feedback as it pushes forward with more updates and tweaks to keep the fanbase engaged. Fans ofSmitewill be all too familiar with both Nu Wa and Amaterasu, but they will see these characters in a whole new light. In the originalSmite, the two gods were part of the Mage and Warrior classes, respectively, but this concept has since been dropped for the sequel.
