Reddit user _Emmyemi recently shared aNo Man’s Skyclip highlighting their trick to submerge the Nomad Exocraft. The video begins with the player launching their Nomad off a platform above a large body of water. After climbing for a few feet, the gamer then angles theirNo Man’s SkyExocraftdownward, using their speed and the momentum generated by the planet’s gravity to go underwater. Once underwater, the Nomad passes multiple unidentified minerals and plants that can be scanned for credits. The player then mines one of the minerals to receive Chlorine, which can be used for crafting or upgrading. The Nomad then rises to the surface, slowly becoming visible from above before floating on the water as if it were solid ground.

This clip highlights the richness oftheNo Man’s Skyunderwater ecosystem, with some of the landscape comparable to above-ground spaces. With many plants and minerals located underwater, it also shows the potential scanning credits players can earn if they thoroughly explore the oceans of water planets. Because the game’s user interface shows the player enabling supplementary oxygen, gamers will likely have to upgrade their gear before taking their Nomad on underwater adventures. The Nomad also can’t be unlocked until players hire a Vy’keen technician and complete their missions to unlock blueprints, meaning this is a mid-game activity.
