According to anew Dealabs report, Xbox is releasing a new controller called the Ghost Cipher Special Edition. If Dealabs' information is correct, the new Xbox controller will be announced on September 24 and then released on October 8. Those interested in buying the controller should note that its expected price will be $69.99. Pre-orders are said to begin on the day of its announcement. As for what the controller actually looks like, its coloring remains unclear, but Dealabs believes it will be another translucent controller.
New Xbox Controller Coming in October
Last August, Microsoft released theSky Cipher controller, which was its first see-through controller for the Xbox Series X era of consoles. The Sky Cipher is blue in color, so one has to imagine that the Ghost Cipher will be going for a different look. Ghosts are generally depicted as white, so it’s possible that the new Xbox controller will also be white, but that’s just speculation at this time. If the report about the new Xbox controller’s reveal date is accurate, then fans should find out about its coloring and everything else next week.
It will be interesting to see what colors futuretranslucent Xbox controllerstake on. If sales for the controllers are high enough, one has to imagine that the line-up will eventually run the gamut. But while it’s always exciting whenever a new controller hits the market, there are undoubtedly those who are more interested in more substantial Xbox hardware.
Microsoft has already confirmed that anext-generation Xbox console is in development, though further details are unavailable at the time of this writing. Whenever this next-gen Xbox console hits the market, it will be interesting to see if it comes with a brand-new controller, or if it sticks with what’s been established by the Xbox Series X line.
