New World: Aeternum, a revamped version of the original PC-exclusive MMORPGNew World, was first announced at the Summer Game Fest in June 2024.Aeternumshifts away from the traditional MMORPG style of its predecessor and incorporates more action-RPG elements, giving players more control over their characters’ actions, while focusing more on fast-paced combat.
WhileNew World: Aeternumis scheduled to launch on Jul 23, 2025, Amazon Games have decided to conduct an open beta test. This beta will allow players to try out a portion of the newgameplay mechanics, content updates, and quality-of-life improvements introduced in Aeternum before its official release. New World: Aeternum Open Beta Start and End Time
Theopen beta forNew World: Aeternumis scheduled to take place fromSeptember 13 to 16,2024, starting and ending at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET / 5 PM UK.
you may begin pre-loading the game on September 11 at 9 AM PT. Thankfully, there are no specific requirements to join. All you have to do is simply log in to your preferred platform and download the game when it’s ready.
Available Platforms And Regions
TheNew World: Aeternumopen beta is only available in North America, South America, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific regions. Players can download and join in on the adventure on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Interestingly, cross-play will be available during the Open Beta, so Xbox, PlayStation, and PC gamers will be able to play together. The only problem is, all progression from Open Beta will be wiped at the end of the test and will not carry over to the full release.
With the exception of PS5 players in Germany, you don’t need anonline subscription for Xboxand PlayStation to play inNew World: AeternumOpen Beta. However, once the game officially launches, all players will need an online subscription to continue playing.
New World: Aeternum Open Beta Perks
While Open Beta progression will be capped at level 30, you can explore the Eternal Isle, join Factions, and level up your character to earn exclusive rewards that will be available to you when the full game releases on October 15.
