What Happened To Ed Gein?

Ed Gein was arrested in November 1957, but he was found not guilty by reason of insanity later that year. He was sent to a mental hospital, where he was diagnosed with schizophrenia. 10 years later, Ed Gein was considered fit to stand trial, and he was convicted of the murder of Bernice Worden. Shockingly, he was never tried for Mary Hogan’s murder because the state figured he would be incarcerated for life anyway. Gein died at the age of 77 in 1984.
