What Does Shoto Think of Endeavor?

Shoto is the Child Endeavor Always Wanted

At the start of My Hero Academia, Shoto is shown to have a deep hatred for his father.Shoto was born with a Fire and Ice Quirkas the youngest of his siblings. The child Endeavor has always sought to produce and follow his dream of surpassing All Might. Once Shoto was born, Endeavor quickly put all his hopes and dreams onto Shoto, giving him gruelish training until he threw up or was weak.

Unfortunately for Shoto, he also becomes the target for Toya, who feels as if Shoto replaced him when he tries to attack Shoto as a baby. This action would separate Shoto from the rest of his siblings, and as a result, they barely grew up with him, as Shoto became Endeavor’s favorite son. Due to being unable to socialize with his siblings, Shoto’s aloof and awkward personality is likely a result of this action, as he may have failed to develop these skills when he was younger.

Additionally, Shoto was also at the forefront of Endeavor’s abuse towards his mother, Rei, witnessing their arguments. Due to this, Shoto further grew to resent his father, going as far as not to use his Fire Quirk to spite Endeavor. However, after accepting that his Fire Quirk is his alone, he can see his father differently, although awkwardly. Throughout the series, Shoto has always been cold with his father, responding awkwardly to him or disliking being in his presence.

However, whenShoto began working at Endeavor’s Agency, he slowly started warming up to him, accepting the invitation to learn more about his Fire Quirk. At this time, Shoto was still wary of his father, not wanting to get too close. However, after learning that Dabi is Toya, he makes the appropriate moves to stand up against him with Endeavor’s help. After the Final War, Shoto seems to have reconciled with his father and no longer resents him as much as he had before.

What does Fuyumi Think of Endeavor?

Fuyumi Wants to Fix Her Broken Family and Sees the Change in Her Father

Fuyumi is Endeavor’s second child, and she is his only daughter. Unlike her brothers, Fuyumi was never given any expectation that she should become a Hero or follow in her father’s footsteps. However, that’s likely because she was born with an Ice Quirk similar to her mother, Rei’s. Additionally, Fuyumi had also seen the healthy family dynamics before Endeavor spiraled into his obsession with surpassing All Might.

However, in Chapter 302, when Toya is complaining to Natsuo about their treatment from their father, he mentions that “the women in this house are good for nothing,” implying that they are submissive and do not take an assertive role. In the same Chapter, Fuyumi also admits that even though she knew their family was broken, she was too scared to interfere, and instead attempted to fix things, like hosting dinners, to keep up appearances.

Although Fuyumi suffered less at their father’s hands, she was also affected by the cruelty within the Todoroki home. However, Fuyumi also saw that Endeavor had a change of heart and personality. As a result, she further tried to bring her broken family together. Overall, while Fuyumi still holds Endeavor accountable for his actions, she supports him in wanting to atone for his previous actions.

What does Natsuo think of Endeavor?

Natsuo is the Only One Who Has Been Holding Their Father Accountable for His Actions

Natsuo is Endeavor’s third son, and like Fuyumi, their father neglected him. Unlike Fuyumi, Natsuo was born and grew up when Endeavor became increasingly obsessed with surpassing All Might. As a result, he is also present when their father treats Toya and Rei cruelly.

Through this, Natsuo grew to resent Endeavor, outwardly showing his dislike or glaring at him when they were in the same room. Natsuo also continued to hold Endeavor accountable for his previous actions and implied that he inadvertently killed Toya. While Natsuo continues to show his dislike towards his father, when Fuyumi requests a dinner with all the siblings, he will attend for her sake. However, his dislike for his father will be shown, and he will leave immediately after dinner has concluded.

During theattack with the High-End Nomu, Natsuo shows concern for their father during the battle but still resents him. When it was revealed that Toya was Dabi, Natsuo, Fuymi, and Rei banded together to find a solution for Endeavor regarding how to deal with Toya. In Chapter 302, Natsuo holds Endeavor accountable for his actions, stating that their broken family was all due to Endeavor’s actions.

After the Final War in Chapter 426, Natsuo announces to the family that he will no longer have any contact with Endeavor and thus marry his girlfriend. During this conversation, Endeavor announces that he will atone for his crimes for the rest of his life. While Natsuo has not forgiven Endeavor for his actions, he admits that was the first time he thought his father was cool.

What does Toya think of Endeavor?

Toya has always just wanted to be noticed by His Father

Toya is Endeavor’s oldest son and was initially the person Endeavor placed all his hopes and dreams of surpassing All Might. Since he was younger,Toya had a stronger Fire Quirkthan his father, increasing his potential to become a Pro Hero. Having said that, unfortunately, although Toya has a strong Fire Quirk like his father, his body is weak to fire. Consequently, he would burn and scar when he used his Quirk.

Endeavor did everything he could to stop Toya from using his Fire Quirk. Unfortunately, this did more harm than good, as Toya attained his stubbornness from Endeavor. As Endeavor continued to have more children, Toya spiraled, believing he would soon be replaced. This would then lead him to train secretly, wanting to be noticed by his father.

Toya’s neglect would soon make him resent his father, wanting to constantly prove to him that he can also be a Pro Hero and that his Fire Quirk was worth investing in. Unfortunately, his emotions got the best of him, which caused his Quirk to go out of control. This led him to be severely burned and then saved by All For One.

This outcome would lead All For One to make the Todoroki family believe Toya has passed. Before learning of his presumed death, Toya had a moment of realization and wanted to make amends with his family. He could not do so, as he believed Shoto replaced him, and the rest of the family had forgotten about him.

This iswhen Toya became Dabiand made it his life’s mission to destroy Endeavor and Shoto. Toya truly resented and hated Endeavor for everything he had put him through and thus wanted him to suffer. However, during the Final War, his true feelings were that he wanted attention from his father. After the Final War, Endeavor promised to visit Toya daily to right his wrongs; however, Toya still resents his father.
