Best Light Cone
Back to All Characters
Moze is a 4-Star Lightning Hunt unit and a powerful sub-DPS focused on follow-up attacks (FUA) inHonkai: Star Rail. He has a unique mechanic calledDeparted, which he activates through his Skill and Talent by marking a target as Prey. When Moze enters the Departed state, he is removed from the action queue, making him untargetable by both enemies and allies. This mechanic also allows Moze toextend many of the buffshe receives before entering Departed since turns no longer occur for him.
For Light Cones, Moze generally favors those that boost CRIT Rate orfollow-up attack damage. While CRIT DMG and ATK are also desired, they are slightly less valuable due to potential diminishing returns from Moze’s kit and build. His Traces provide 18% ATK and 37.3% CRIT DMG, while his Eidolon 2 grants an additional 40% CRIT DMG. Moze’s action advances from his A4 Trace make SPD unnecessary, meaning ATK% Feet is also the best option. Here is a quick overview of thebest Light Cones for Moze inHonkai: Star Rail.

Increase the wearer’s CRIT Rate by 16%, and increases their CRIT rate against enemies with HP less than or equal to 50% by an extra 16%. When the wearer defeats an enemy, their ATK is increased by 40% for 2 turn(s).
Cruising in the Stellar Seais the best F2P Light Cone available and can beeasily obtained from Herta’s Shop.It offers a 16% unconditional Crit Rate boost with an additional 16% once the target’s HP drops below 50%, making it highly valuable for Moze.
Unfortunately, Moze struggles to activate and maintain the ATK boost from this Light Cone, as his Departed state prevents him from switching targets until the Prey status is dispelled. While thislimitation weakens the Light Cone’s overall impact and keeps it lower on the list, it remains a solid option due to its strong CRIT Rate boost.

Increases ATK of its wearer by 32%. If there are 2 or fewer enemies on the field, increases wearer’s CRIT Rate by 24%.
Only Silence Remainsis a strong 4-Star option at Superimposition 5, provided players can maintain high uptime on itsCRIT Rateincrease. This can be challenging inHonkai: Star Rail, where many encounters involve more than two enemies,as bosses and elites often spawn additional foes. However, if players can isolate Moze’s priority target early, before his follow-up attacks and Ultimates trigger, Only Silence Remains delivers a solid performance.
For each time the wearer hits the same target, DMG dealt increases by 16%, stacking up to 5 time(s). This effect will be dispelled when the wearer changes targets.
Swordplayis another great 4-star option at Superimposition 5, offering a much easier condition for Moze to fulfill than the previous twoHonkai: Star RailLight Cones. Moze’s multi-hit FUA can instantly stack up Swordplay’s 80% DMG boost, while his Departed state ensures this effect remains active by preventing target changes.

Increase the wearer’s CRIT rate by 18% and their follow-up attacks' DMG by 30%. After the wearer uses a follow-up attack, apply the Tame state to the target, stacking up to 2 stacks. When allies hit enemy targets under the Tame state, every Tame stack increases CRIT DMG dealt by 12%.
Topaz’s signature 5-Star Light Cone,Worrisome, Blissful, is an excellent choice for Moze and offers a third debuff to maximize thePioneer Diver of Dead Watersrelic set. Not only does this Light Cone provide both CRIT Rate and FUA DMG, but its Tame debuff also grants the team 12% CRIT DMG.While Worrisome, Blissful falls slightly behind the next Light Cone in terms of Moze’s personal damage, it provides higher overall team damage. When running Moze alongside another damage dealer, this Light Cone offers the most value.
Increases the wearer’s CRIT DMG by 20%. For every debuff on the enemy target, the wearer’s CRIT DMG dealt against this target increases by 8%, stacking up to 3 times. When using Ultimate to attack the enemy target, the wearer receives the Disputation effect, which increases DMG dealt by 32% and enables their follow-up attacks to ignore 24% of the target’s DEF. This effect lasts for 2 turns.
Dr. Ratio’s signature Light Cone,Baptism of Pure Thought, tops the list when it comes to Moze’s personal damage. Along with a substantial CRIT DMG boost, the Disputation effect provides a 32% DMG increase and, more importantly, a 24% DEF ignore for his follow-up attacks. DEF ignore is a powerful multiplier inHonkai: Star Rail, making this buff exceptionally valuable. Furthermore, thanks to Moze’s Departed mechanic, the Disputation effect can be extended beyond two turns.
