Minecraft Live is almost upon players with plenty of new announcements for theMinecraftcommunity anticipated in October. This year promises to bring several changes to keep things interesting, and some of the changes come unexpectedly. To find out what Mojang has been cooking, players will have to tune in.

Minecraftupdates typically focus on biomes, which is good as it gives players new environments to explore. However, it may be time for Mojang to turn its attention to different aspects of the game. With a change in melee combat,Minecraftcould also have a domino effect that enhances its PvP elements.

It’s Time For Mojang to Think Past Biomes

Many players are expecting a new biome to be introduced during the next Minecraft Live event. More specifically, players are hedging their bets on avolcano biomedue to some clues the studio has left behind. While this may be exciting, it may not be the best move to keep the game fresh. Instead, Mojang should focus on melee combat.

With melee combat, the game could provide big changes regarding strategic possibilities such as being able to jab, swipe, and use specialized melee weapons to take onscary Mobs. This would make it easier to explore at night when the Mobs come out and start attacking.

No More Running and Hiding

Typically, players build shelters to protect themselves from hostile Mobs. This won’t have to be the case any longer if the melee system is overhauled. Players could protect themselves and continue exploring even when the Mobs are out and ready to attack. It could also open the door for more melee weapons to assist players with melee combat.

Minecraft Could be More Competitive

With greater melee combat,Minecraftcould turn into a more competitive game, perhaps even becoming an esports game. There could be official esports tournaments where players go up against each other, parrying and striking strategically to defeat their opponents inPvP battles. This would only be possible with a much deeper melee combat system. It shouldn’t be easy for players to acquire the best weapons, and it should take some smart crafting to create the perfect weapons.

The one problem that could arise is griefing. Players with better melee weapons could cause trouble for weaker players andMojangneeds to ensure that beginner players aren’t overwhelmed by more experienced players. This could be done by introducing a tiered system, guaranteeing that players on the same level face off against each other instead of exposing them to higher-level players. New players still mastering simple attacks could have the chance to practice and learn essential skills before they go up against more advanced players who are familiar with combos, parries, and advanced weapons.

Minecraft Could Introduce a Variety of Weapons

A variety of weapons would allow for different combat styles. Light weapons could be perfect for players who like to strike fast, while heavy weapons like axes would be ideal for players who are more concerned with striking with the most amount of force. This would result in a diversity ofmelee combat, forcing players to learn different strategies to deal with various combat styles, keeping things interesting. A progression system could also be implemented, allowing players to learn more combos as they gain experience with a weapon.

There’s so muchMinecraftcan do when it comes to combat. A stamina system could be introduced to encourage further strategies, and the introduction of swipes, jabs, and combos would keep combat interesting. Hopefully, this would result in an overall more action-packed game, but it would also give players a fighting chance against hostile Mobs, and it would make PvP far more interesting.
