Patch 1.21.30, released September 17, brings a ton of changes to the game,similar to previous updates toMinecraft. The biggest part of the update is the new experimental feature, bundles. Bundles allow players to stack different items together in the same inventory slot, something that is currently not possible. This new feature will allow players to free up more inventory space by combining stacks into one item.

Alongside the new experimental feature, several items inMinecraftare also receiving some updates. Originally announced on the changelog section ofMinecraft’s website, Banner Pattern andSmithing Template itemswill now display their type within their name instead of in subtitle text. Alongside that, several blocks are receiving a large update, including logs and woods. Logs, Striped Logs, Woods, and Striped Woods will now all be treated consistently across a variety of scenarios that include landing spots for parrots and mobs.

This update forMinecraftalso starts the process of removing compatibility with PlayStation VR. Originally,Minecraftadded PlayStation VR capabilities in 2020, but that is now coming to an end in 2025. Announced in the patch notes for version 1.21.30, any update after March 2025 will no longer support PlayStation VR. Moving forward, players will still be able to enjoyMinecrafton PlayStation regularly.

Alongside major updates toMinecraft, patch 1.21.30 also brings a few bug fixes to the game as well. A bug that caused placeholder textures to appear when they shouldn’t has now been fixed. The invite screen in-game should now show the correct substatus when in multiplayer mode. These are just a few of the changes that have been made toMinecraftwith the latest update, and there is plenty more content for players to explore in patch 1.21.30.

A Bundle is an item that lets you stack different blocks or items together in the same inventory slot. Different items normally don’t stack together, so you can end up wasting space by only having a few items in each slot. A Bundle lets you pack those items together so there is no wasted space.
