Minecraftis a game that encourages players to be as creative as possible. This is something the community has certainly risen to over the years, with tons of amazing creations being shared online by players. 15 years after the game first launched, players are still pushing the boundaries of what is possible inMinecraft, with many choosing to pay tribute to their other favorite franchises in unique ways. Just recently, acleverMinecraftfan used the new minecarts to recreateAngry Birds, which is a perfect example of how the community continues to innovate in the game. WithMinecraftremaining extremely popular, there’s no sign of this kind of innovation slowing down any time soon.

Redditor Iztroth shared theirawesomeMinecraftbuild, which brings the classicMario Kart 64track Kalimari Desert into the game. Not only does it look accurate to the game, but it even features the iconic train that moves around the map. Many gamers in the thread were confused about how they’d managed to create the train, with some speculating that they were using retextured minecarts with furnaces. According to Iztroth, they instead used a tool called OBJMC, which allows players to put .obj files into the game. Regardless of how it was achieved, the effect is extremely convincing.

Kalimari Desert Recreated in Minecraft

When asked about the purpose of the Kalimari DesertMinecraftremake, Iztroth clarified that they were developing a fullMario Kartproject in the game. It would definitely be interesting to follow the progress of this, so hopefully they’re able to share it with theMinecraftcommunity online. Players have createdracing games inMinecraftbefore, but it would be awesome to see what every track from theMario Kartseries would look like brought to life.

Earlier this year,Minecraftcelebrated its 15th anniversary. The fact that the game remains among the most-played video games in the world is incredibly impressive, especially with no sequel released at any point. Instead, Mojang continues to update the original game with new content, keeping even veteran players engaged with everything it has to offer. With the current level of support, there’s no reason whyMinecraftcan’t remain relevant for years to come.
