Summary

Minecraftdeveloper Mojang Studios has accidentally published details on the game’s next content update ahead of schedule, revealing information on a new biome, mob, and more. These details came directly from the officialMinecraftwebsite, which appears to have been updated accidentally before promptly being taken down, but not before fans noticed.

NewMinecraftupdatesare released regularly, but not all of them are filled with new content for players to check out. Although fans can expect bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements to be deployed on a regular basis, Mojang Studios recently committed to launching new content updates more often. While the studio says these patches will be smaller than usual, they will be more frequent, meaning players won’t need to wait months and months to check out any new items, mobs, and more.

After announcing thedetails ofMinecraft’s future updatesearlier this month, Mojang is now gearing up to release the game’s first major patch under its new release schedule. Unfortunately, the studio appears to have gotten slightly ahead of itself as it has briefly published a new webpage featuring information on the nextMinecraftupdate. While the webpage has since been taken down, a Reddit user was quick enough to take a screenshot of the site and give fans a look at what’s next for the massively popular sandbox game.

Mojang Accidentally Leaks New Minecraft Update

According to the now-deleted webpage, the nextMinecraftbiomewill be known as the Pale Garden and will also feature a new hostile mob called The Creaking. It’s unclear if the new biome and mob will be in the overworld or in another dimension, such as The End, but fans are already speculating heavily on what these new features could look like. One user noted that the name of the update is “Bundles and Bravery,” which suggests the update could be somewhat scary, which would make sense as Halloween is fast approaching.

Any further details on the update are minimal, but the page does also indicate thatMinecraftLive 2024, which is scheduled to take place on September 28, will give fans a new look at bundles, a returning feature that allows players to carry more items. The leak also confirms that “exclusive info” on the upcomingMinecraftmovie will be revealed duringMinecraftLive, as well as a mysterious new immersive experience known asMinecraft Experience: Villager Rescue. It’s unclear what this new immersive experience is, so players will need to wait until September 28 to find out more.
