The Netflix Vigilante Embodies His Street-Level Status

Potentially the most popular version of the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen, Charlie Cox delivered an iconic performance in his greatthree-season Netflix seriesas Daredevil. He also wowed fans with his reflexes, potentially being even faster than Spider-Man’s, through his brick-catching Marvel Cinematic Universe cameo/debut in Spider-Man: No Way Home. This Daredevil possesses all the fun abilities of a typical Daredevil iteration — along with a penchant for taking as many hits as he dishes out with his brawler fighting style.

An unfortunate encounter with an oil and chemical truck took away his sight and heightened his other senses tenfold.Live Action Murdock’senhanced senses allow him to see a ‘world on fire,’ a pseudo-sight developed due to how high-level his senses (other than sight) are, allowing him to have a picture of the world around him in his mind without even being able to form an image of it. Daredevil can hear distinct sounds across the city.

Daredevil in the rain

He is capable of using superhuman echolocation to make sense of his surroundings and avoid obstacles. He has an ability to smell greater than a canine’s, and if you have an open wound, he can taste copper in the air and know you are hurt and bleeding without even having to touch you. Netflix’s Daredevil is quite powerful fora street-tier heroand looks to be a great addition to further storylines in the MCU moving forward.

4Marvel Comics Daredevil

The Original Comic Book 616 Man Without Fear

The originalDaredevil from the comics, and the ‘standard form’ of the character, so to speak. This first version of the character uses a mixture of impeccable hearing, dazzling reflexes, and great martial arts skills to entertain superhero fans for decade after decade. The red-headed devout Catholic proves that you can never count out the original; his power-set and feats being just as interesting as his other variants, and in some areas, even more so. His sensory skills are defined as not just being enhanced, but at a true superhuman level. One of the most interesting applications of this is his superhuman touch. He can read without sight and without using braille, able to feel the fine imprint of ink and text against his fingertips when he touches paper.

It is said that even in instances where his smelling and hearing has been blocked, he can make sense of his surroundings simply by feeling the changes in temperature and atmosphere of the objects and people surrounding him. His smell has been described as refined enough to tell identical twins with the exact same genetics apart from each other. He also holds pure power within his hands, able to survive car crashes, electrocution, and cracking concrete with his fists. Comic Matt Murdock has had decades of wild and sometimes outlandish feats under his belt, making it tough for the comparatively grounded Netflix’s Daredevil to compare in terms of raw power.

3Ultimate Daredevil

The Ultimate Fighter, More Brutal Than His 616 Variants

As with many other Marvel superheroes, Daredevil’s Ultimate universe variant is an edgier and more powerful version of his standard 616-universe comic variant. Earth 1610’s Daredevil boasts all the typicalMan Without Fearabilities with a sharper edge to them, being as fast, strong, agile, and generally athletic as the best Olympic athletes of their universe.

A quick browse of the Marvel Comics wiki or other similar material will showcase his combat skills being at a 5, just one level below the best martial artists in Marvel, such as Iron Fist and Captain America. Ultimate Daredevil is far more fueled by anger, and thus a far more dangerous and brutal fighter than his standard counterpart. Regardless of moral scruples, the more willing you are to fight dirty, the more capable you are of beating your opponent into submission, as this Daredevil is likely to do.

Daredevil sonar sense

One famous panel of Ultimate Daredevil showcases him beating The Punisher’s face in with his even more famous Billy Clubs, used not just for effective acts of violence, but for rooftop traversal too and at a more frequent rate than other versions of the character.

2Daredevil 2099

Daredevil Of The Future Utilizes Powerful Tech To Enhance His Abilities

The Man Without Fear of the future. By this point in that universe’s timeline, the mantle of Daredevil is no longer held by Matthew Michael Murdock and is instead taken up by Samuel Fisk, grandson of Daredevil’s most infamous adversary —Wilson Fisk, the Kingpin.

Due to the more advanced tech that comes with living in a time period several decades away from even the most recent of Daredevil iterations, Daredevil 2099 has access to greater power. His suit is not just a costume; it acts as a proper piece of armor that enhances his physical abilities through usage. He has access to a modified vehicle, including an automated dressing system, a crime scanner, and a launching mechanism to get him onto rooftops instantly. He also wields dual pistols that have been described to shoot ‘solid-sedative bullets which dissolve upon hitting the bloodstream.’

He still retains his typical Billy Club weaponry, though the added enhancements to his suit of armor allow him to strike with more efficiency due to their built-in target-monitoring system. The armor itself grants him the most power, including rocket abilities to add to the list of the great powers of this near-22nd century fighter.

1Darkdevil

The Demonic Daredevil Brings The Supernatural To The Superhuman Hero

The name on its own should give readers an idea of what kind of variant this Daredevil is — one with far greater powers than most street-tier heroes, never mind Daredevil himself. Darkdevil sports the fangs of a vampire and a costume that would have you think the man without fear became a man without a soul.

His superhuman abilities go far beyond any other Daredevils'. He can summon flames, which he uses to enhance his weaponry for more devastating melee attacks. He has a healing factor that would make even the likes of Deadpool and Wolverine raise an eyebrow. His speed and senses are far greater than the standard Daredevil variants — his speed especially, being more akin to that of a powerful Spider-Man variant instead. He can also teleport to any place as long as he has traveled there before. His connection to the demon Zarathos is responsible for these great powers.

He also has abilities similar to Spider-Man and the Human Torch, able to stick to walls and engulf his body fully in mystical flames for an overall power boost. Of all the Daredevils, he stands at the top as the most frighteningly strong.
