Lies of P Director Shows off New Song And Concept Art for Upcoming DLC
Lies of Pwas praised for its music, and it seems its DLC will keep the same tone. The new song Choi added to his letter features a haunting piano, violin, and what sounds like a concertina. The piece has a very light, almost whimsical quality, a stark contrast to the dark tone and atmosphere of the game, but very much in line with other pieces from the base game’s soundtrack. The new piece of concept art shared by Choi sees the protagonist standing in what looks to be a snowy fishing village at night with a lighthouse towering above him in the distance. This lines up with the first DLC concept art and points toLies of P’s DLCbeing at least partially set in some sort of coastal environment. Since the base game didn’t feature any snow-covered areas, it’ll be refreshing to potentially get to explore one in the DLC.
A Neowiz earnings report from earlier this year put a second-half 2024 release window onLies of P’s DLC, but nothing has been publicly confirmed by the studio.
Choi’s letter did make mention ofLies of P’s sequel, but nothing concrete is known about it beyond the brief tease at the end ofLies of P. Interestingly, a recent Neowiz job listing hinted thatLies of P’s sequel could be open-world, but this has yet to be confirmed. As forLies of P’s DLC, it unfortunately doesn’t look to be making its late 2024 window. Fans will hopefully have a better idea of the content’s release window before the end of the year.
