Summary

There are various speculations about numerous characters inAgatha All Along. Newly leaked Funko Pops for the show revealed the identities of the two mysterious characters in the series.

A number of characters in theWandaVisionspinoff,Agatha All Along, are peculiar, leading the viewers to question their persona. Even Agatha Harkness, portrayed by Kathryn Hahn, attracted various rumors, especially when she posed as Agnes, Wanda Maximoff’s (Elizabeth Olsen) nosy neighbor inWandaVision. Some theories suggest that she was involved in Wanda’s fabricated reality in Westview. However, new collectible items revealed the identities of at least two of the much-talked-about characters in the newestMarvelseries.

Austin Medeiros shared a snap of two Funko Pops onX, formerly Twitter. The photo features Aubrey Plaza and Joe Locke’s characters, revealing that they portray Death and Wiccan, respectively. Locke’s character in the show is named “Teen,” but there have been rumors that he’s playing Billy Kaplan, aka Wiccan, Wanda’s son who inherited her superpowers like reality manipulation, chaos magic, spell casting, and telekinesis and telepathy abilities. Locke’s character has sparked numerous discussions associating him with Wanda and it was confirmed when the trailer was released internationally. In the subtitle,Locke’s character was credited as “Billy,“as shown in a screenshot that circulated on social media, and the collectible item just confirmed it.

Plaza’s role inAgatha All Alongalso sparked the same discussion. There were tons of speculations about her character, some speculating she was Mephisto while others were convincedshe could be Blackheart, Mephisto’s son. Either way, she has ties with Mephisto. However, the Funko Pop collectible for Plaza’s character revealed that fans were wrong because she was actually Death. As the name suggests, she is the personification of death. Mephisto and Death have some encounters in the Marvel Comics, with the former considering the latter as his daughter. When Mar-Vell was born again and plotted to ruin Death, Mephisto did his part to protect the latter. So, Plaza’s character is still associated with Mephisto.

Locke playing Billy Kaplan, aka Wiccan, was not shocking as fans talked about it for months. Even before the series premiered, there were already discussions online that Locke’s character named “Teen” was actually Billy or Wiccan. However, it was quite surprising to learn about Plaza being Death. No one guessed it. Plaza being Death makes sense because her addition brings balance to the show, where the theme revolves around magic, cosmic forces, and death. In theCoven of Chaos, witches flaunt their mystical powers and Death’s presence is a reminder that there is a limit to everything, including magic and life. She’s also connected to Mephisto, who manipulates souls to lure them into his dark realm.

Adding Death to the roster ofAgatha All Alongcharacters makes the show even more interesting as it opens doors to significant storylines about life, death, and magic in Marvel. Death also has some ties tosupervillain Thanos, which could pave the way to a larger threat in the MCU. Death could possibly open doors for more cosmic-level conflicts and potentially bring Doctor Strange or even Mephisto into the show. Whatever the writers' purpose in bringing up Death inAgatha All Along, her presence adds another dimension to the series.
