In a new post onThe Last of Ussubreddit user jynx33 highlights a location inUncharted 3: Drake’s Deceptionwhich is also in The Last of Us, which may be an intentionalNaughty Dog Easter egg. Players visit a bar in the first chapter ofUncharted 3: Drake’s Deceptionand it is in fact the same bar that is present toward the end of the Pittsburgh level inThe Last of Us, right after Henry and Sam leave. There are quite a number of similarities, with the glass design right above the bar and the darts being two of the most striking similarities between the two locations. Not to mention, the dart board all but gives away the connection.

The Last of Us Fans Debate The Uncharted Easter Egg

Despite the similarities, some fans think that this is notanotherThe Last of UsEaster egg,but just assets being reused in the game. It is not uncommon for assets to be reused, and there are plenty of instances in the games where similarities can be spotted, but considering this is an entire location instead of a small asset, there is a chance that this is totally intentional.

Another important detail is that the bar inUncharted 3: Drake’s Deceptionhas a newspaper that discusses a fungal infection, which is seemingly a nod toward the Cordyceps outbreak in the world ofThe Last of Us. However, it should be noted thatUncharted 3: Drake’s Deception’sbar scene is based in the UK, whereasThe Last of Usscene takes place in Pittsburgh. As such, these locations are likely not the same per se, but they share such similar visual characteristics that theLast of Usversion feels like an homage.
