One of the most striking features aboutKinichinGenshin Impactis likely his companion, Ajaw. The pixelated “Almighty Dragonlord” has a foul mouth with no filter, and considers Kinich his “servant” rather than companion.
Ajaw isn’t just an accessory for Kinich’s model but also plays a role in Kinich’s combat mechanics. When the Saurian Hunter uses his Elemental Burst, he summons Ajaw to deal damage for around 15s,dealing off-field Dendro DMG. Most of the Saurian Hunter’s DPS comes from his Elemental Skill, but he also boosts the Dragon’s DMG from one ofKinich’s Constellations inGenshin Impact.
Are Kinich’s Constellations Worth It? - Genshin Impact
Yes, Kinich’sConstellations are worth it inGenshin Impact, with the following priority:C6 > C2 > C1 > C4.
For F2P or low-spender, his best value lies in his C2. For “whales,” go for his C6. Do not stop at C4 as it’s not worth getting.
Importance
C1
After Kinich lands from Elemental Skill’s mid-air swing, his Movement SPD will increase by 30% for 6s. Additionally, Scalespiker Cannon’s CRIT DMG is increased by 100%.
High
When using his Elemental Skill, Kinich will continuously regain Nightsoul Points (energy bar on his left). Once it’s full, you can unleashScalespiker Cannonby using his Elemental Skill, dealing larger damage than his Normal Attack. A 100%Crit DMG bonus for his primary DPSsource is a great addition to his personal damage.
C2
When Kinich’s Elemental Skill hits an opponent, it will decrease their Dendro RES by 30% for 6s. Additionally, the first Scalespiker Cannon Kinich fires after entering Nightsoul’s Blessing has increased AoE, and its DMG increases by 100%.
Priority
Kinich’s C2 inGenshin Impactdoesn’t only increase his best move’s AoE and DMG, but it also reduces the enemy’s Dendro RES, which benefits not only himself but also other Dendro teammates.
The DPS increase for both his personal DMG and the team’s overall DPS makes Kinich C2 a must-have Constellation if you’re planning to get copies of the Saurian Hunter.
C4
When in Nightsoul’s Blessing, Kinich will restore 5 Energy after using his Loop Shots or after unleashing the Scalespiker Cannon. Energy can be regenerated this way once every 2.8s. Additionally, Hail to the Almighty Dragonlord deals 70% more DMG.
Low
Kinich’s fourth Constellation inGenshin Impactfocuses more on his Elemental BurstDPS than his Skill. He would gain around 15 Energy on each Skill cast, and a 70% DMG on his Ultimate. Although it sounds good, the damage increase is actually underwhelming, especially compared to his C2.
C6
After Scalespiker Cannon hits an opponent, it will bounce between opponents once, dealing 700% of Kinich’s ATK as Dendro DMG. If this Scalespiker Cannon triggers the buffs that Passive Talent “Flame Spirit Pact” or the Constellation “Tiger Beetle’s Palm” grant to the Cannon, the bouncing attack will also obtain the relevant buffs.
Kinich’s C6, like many othersixth Constellation inGenshin Impact, is a one-time damage addition that deals high numbers. Even though it doesn’t add to Kinich’s ability or utility, the raw damage it bestows is enough to make it worth getting.
