This article contains spoilers from Jujutsu Kaisen’s Shinjuku Showdown arc.
Summary
WithJujutsu kaisennearing its end, fans finally know the endings that most of the characters received, along with knowing which character made it to the end, and who perished. Clearly, there were some character conclusions that fans absolutely loved, and others that they absolutely hated. This isn’t specific toJujutsu Kaiseneither.
Usually, authors cannot satisfy every single reader, which means that there are character endings that fans aren’t always fond of. However, inJJK, two characters that fans knowreceived reasonably good endings are Yuta, and Yuji. Although they fought Sukuna, both of them managed to survive. Clearly, these are two of the strongest modern sorcerers inJJK, and, naturally, fans have come to compare their strength at the end of the story.
Yuta’s Strength At The End Of Jujutsu Kaisen
Yuta Okkotsu was always one of the strongest sorcerers. Fans knew him to be a monstrously powerful being, capable of even going head-to-head against the strongest modern sorcerer, and even the strongest in history. Of course, Yuta isn’t as strong as either of them. However, he has what it takes to fight Yuji Itadori. In terms of cursed energy reserves, Yuta has much more than Yuji. In fact, Yuta’s energy reserves are even greater than that of Gojo, and about half of Sukuna, thanks to Rika. This makes him one of the most fearsome characters in JJK.
Yuta’s cursed energy is said to be very creepy, even more so than that of Gojo Satoru. In the Shinjuku Showdown arc, fans truly saw how strong Yuta is. He fought against Sukuna and showcased his Domain Expansion, Authentic Mutual Love. Within the domain, Yuta can essentially utilize the copied techniques he has as many times as he wants, as long as the sword that he picks up carries the technique inside. Yuta caused all sorts of problems for Sukuna within the domain and, essentially, succeeded in his strategy.
Had it not beenfor Megumi rejecting the helping hand, Yuta would most likely have succeeded. But, he was taken down by Sukuna using his powerful World Splitting Dismantle, which essentially put him on death’s door. Regardless, fans know that Yuta is incredibly powerful. He also has great reverse cursed technique, he can likely utilize Domain Amplification, and, of course, his control over barrier techniques in general, and of course, Domain Expansion, is incredibly special. In just about every regard, Yuta is better than Yuji. However, Yuji Itadori has a grit that no other sorcerers have, which is what makes sense as a worthy opponent for Yuta.
Yuji’s Strength At The End Of Jujutsu Kaisen
Yuji Has Sukuna’s Shrine And A Powerful Domain
Yuji is quite easily one of the strongest sorcerers in the world ofJJKright now. After all, he is the sorcerer who took down Ryomen Sukuna. While Yuji is very powerful, fans should not get carried away. This is simply down to the fact that Yuji has been helped tremendously by the many sorcerers on various occasions throughout this fight, including Yuta. Had it not been for the many sorcerers who helped him, Yuji would most likely have died. In fact, there are many instances in which Yuji would have fallen in this battle had he not had help. However, one also cannot turn a blind eye to the fact that Yuji reached great heights during the Shinjuku Showdown. Not only did he gain control over reverse cursed technique and went on to refine it, but he also showcased the ability to utilize Simple Domain, and of course, Domain Expansion.
Yuji’s cursed energy is also very powerful, and fans know that he can deal Soul Damage to his enemies as well. Of course, when fighting sorcerers like Yuta, soul damage doesn’t give the same advantage that it does against Sukuna. In a battle against Yuta, Yuji’s biggest strength would be his power to utilize the Shrine, and of course, his incredibly fast healing.
Yuji would also benefit greatly from utilizing Simple Domains, if it came to a domain battle, but of course, fans know that his control over it isn’t nearly as good as some other characters. Then again, Yuji has the power of the Shrine at his side, which fans saw as being great enough to even deal deadly damage to the King of Curses.
Who Is Stronger Between Yuta And Yuji?
Yuta May Be Stronger Right Now, But Yuji Has A Higher Ceiling
Of course, when thinking of who’s strongerbetween Yuta and Yuji, fans have to look at many facts, and it’s easy for one to come to the conclusion that they excel at the different things in battle. When it comes to the usage of reverse cursed technique, Yuta is clearly better. In terms of general cursed technique usage, once again, Yuta is likely much superior. In terms of brute strength, stamina, and just about every other physical trait, Yuji trumps Yuta greatly. When it comes to domain battles, Yuji has the superior domain, but Yuta’s control over his domain and, in general, cursed energy makes him a very special fighter as well. Given that Yuji is the protagonist of the series, and the fact that his potential is equal to Sukuna, Yuji is likely going to be if the two were to ever fight.
Yuta certainly has great potential as well. This is especially because he is a descendant of the same line as Gojo himself. Yuta can one day go on to reach Gojo’s level, and potentially even surpass him. This means that whatever happens, Yuta and Yuji are going to be neck and neck. Right now, Yuji hasn’t hit his full potential. If they were to fight right now, Yuta would likely be the winner. However, at his peak, Yuji will eventually go on to surpass the likes of Yuta, especially given that he has Sukuna’s technique.
Then again, one also needs to consider the fact that Yuta was recently in Gojo’s body, and he has likely picked up many things. One also has to considerwhether Yuta will continue in Gojo’s body or not. If he does, then, in a battle between Yuta and Yuji, Yuta would likely be the winner. Even if he transfers to his own body, Yuta will likely have refined his cursed energy control as well as his abilities in general, within Gojo’s body.
All these things just go to show that Yuta is around Yuji’s level right now, and would give him a great fight, if not beat him, especially if Rika is fighting by his side as well. Without incredible levels of plot armor, Yuji would most likely lose to Yuta. However, when the day comes that Yuji fulfillshis potential as the next Sukuna, Yuta will lose the battle.
