Summary
Harry Potter: Quidditch Championsis by no means an easy game and players have already pioneered innovative tricks and tactics. To keep up with the rest of the field and win more games, players will want to take heed of the following tips.
While there is a plethora of mechanics to learn for each role, thesetips for winning more games inQuidditch Championsare more focused on game sense and tactics for the entire team. Unlikeother sports games, there is no real-life precedent for Quidditch tactics, although some tricks can be taken from other sports.
1Never Be Caught Doing Nothing
Switch Roles Or Tackle Opponents When There Appears To Be Nothing To Do
In other ball sports, there are times when the ball is on the other side of the pitch or even out of play, meaning certain individuals have nothing to do. InQuidditch Champions, however, this is never the case asthere are multiple balls, as well as players who can be knocked out.
There are few things players can do when it appears naught can be done. For example, when the Quaffle is scored,Chasers canswitch to their other positions. Alternatively, they couldtackle opponentsto lower their health andeventually knock them out. In fact, any role can go around tackling, includingKeepers, who can deliver a deadly kick to Seekerswhen the Snitch is down at their end. Even tackling a Beater can be a good use of time if they are going after an allied Seeker. Keepers can also lay down theirPlaycaller Ringsin moments of downtime.
2Only Play PvP With Fully Upgraded Skills & Brooms
Other Players Will Have An Advantage Over You
Every role inQuidditch Championscan have amaximum of 10 skill points equipped, and as they can impact how fast a Chaser flies with the Quaffle or how fast a Seeker fills up the Snitch meter, it cannot be overstated how vital they are. Therefore, if players are looking to win, they should not play PvP until they haveaccess to 20 skill points, giving them 10 each for their Chaser and another chosen role.
Thankfully, points can be altered and removed, so after a game of Chaser/Keeper, players can remove their points from Keeper and assign them to Seeker or Beater for the next game. At some point, players will eventually reach a level where they permanently have all 40 skill points. It’s also imperative to identify thebest brooms for each role inQuidditch Championsand upgrade these brooms to increase their Speed, Durability, and Agility.
3Time Wasting When Winning At The End Of The Game
Time-wasting is an ugly part of many sports, but for winning, it is a necessary evil. If players are looking towin more games inQuidditch Champions, then this is no different, although always be wary of the Golden Snitch which grants 30 points.
With a tenuous lead at the end of a game, there are a few ways in which the winning team can waste time. First of all, wheneverthe Keeperhas hold of the Quaffle, they cankeep it for quite a while before it is automatically booteddown the pitch. They do need to be careful of Chasers coming to tackle them though. Chasers can also waste time bylaunching the Quaffle slowly into the far corner, down to the ground, or generally anywhere there aren’t any opponents.
4Don’t Catch An Easy Snitch If Your Chasers Are About To Score
Play Halts When The Snitch Is Caught, Which Could Deny Your Team 10 Extra Points
Without the help of voice comms or exceptional awareness, this trick can be a bit hard to follow. However, it can make the difference between a win and a loss. When the Snitch is caught, then unless 100 points have been scored, the game doesn’t endas it does in traditional Quidditch, but the game does come to a standstill, with theQuaffle subsequently being reset in the middle.
For this reason, an aware Seeker, who has a massive lead on the Snitch and who could grab it any second, shouldlook to see iftheir Chasersare close to scoring. If they are, wait for the extra 10 points and then catch the Snitch for 30 points, resulting in a massive 40-point swing. This is particularly useful for big comebacks from behind or closing out a game.
5Decide Whether To Focus On The Quaffle Or Snitch Near The End Of The Game
Sometimes The Snitch Is The Only Way The Outcome Changes & At Other Times It’s Too Far Away
Because there are two ways to obtain points in Quidditch, players will need to think carefully about theirpriorities towards the end of the game. For example, when behind by 30 points or more, and there’s enough time forthe Golden Snitch to be caught by the Seeker, all attention should be put into helping them. This also means taking out the enemy Beater who is the biggest threat.
Alternatively, when a team isahead by this kind of margin, and there’s not enough time for the opposing Chasers to score three goals, they shouldn’t be bothered as much about catching the Snitch, but should instead focus all their energy ondenying the enemy seeker. Even Keepers and Chasers can help with this by kicking and tackling. There will also be times when teams are behind by a smaller margin, but there’s not enough time for the Snitch to be caught. Seekers should swap back to playing as Chasers, and Beaters should focus on the Quaffle carriers and the Keeper.
