Players will be doing more than just building production lines inSatisfactory. Exploration plays a big part in the game too, and when it comes to vertical traversal, the Jetpack is one of the most convenient tools players can use.
The Jetpack is an equippable item that, as you’d have guessed by now, lets players take to the air for a short duration. It’s not quite built for long-distance trips likethe Tractor inSatisfactory, but if you’re looking to reach higher elevations or cancel impending fall damage, then the Jetpack’s got your back.
How To Unlock And Craft The Jetpack In Satisfactory

Speaking of materials, the ones you need for Jetpack crafting are:
The ability tocraft Motors inSatisfactoryis necessary to make Jetpacks, so make sure toresearch Advanced Steel Production in Tier 4 first. This is also the most complicated material in this list, as it requires Modular Frames, Rotors, Steel Pipes, and Concrete to make. It’s best to set up some production lines capable of making these materials first. Once you have enough resources, head to the nearestEquipment Workshop and hand-craft your Jetpackfrom there.
In earlier versions of the game, the Jetpack used to be a Tier 6 unlock using more advanced materials like Plastic and Circuit Boards. This is no longer the case in the 1.0 version, making the Jetpack far easier to build.
How To Use The Jetpack In Satisfactory
First, equip your Jetpack from your inventory. Once you have it on,press and hold your Jump button to engage the pack’s thrusters. The Jetpack can hold enough fuel for roughly three seconds of continuous use, andit will automatically consume any of the following items from your inventoryto re-fuel itself once you land:
you may choose your preferred fuel type by opening the inventory and clicking on the cogwheel on the Jetpack if it’s equipped on your back.
As mentioned earlier, it’s great for reaching higher ground and reaching Power Slugs needed tooverclock machines inSatisfactory. The neat thing about the Jetpack is that it can also be used to launch players forward when used together with high-speed conveyors and jump pads. Propulsion power depends on the type of fuel you use — the better the fuel, the stronger the lift.
