One of the game’s many mysteries is the closed gate located near the Old Ruler’s Crypt inEnotria: The Last Song. Upon investigating the gate, a prompt appears that states it requires a key.
The Maskless One needs to thoroughly explore the Monastery of Maja to locate the key and unlock the gate. Luckily, therequired item is located extremely close to the Old Ruler’s Crypt inEnotria: The Last Song, so you only need to defeat a few enemies andnavigate Wicked-inducing waterto obtain theKey to the Catacombsand open the gate.
How To Open The Old Ruler’s Crypt Gate In Enotria: The Last Song
To open theclosed gate next to the Old Ruler’s Crypt Reality Knot inEnotria: The Last Song, players must find theKey to the Catacombs. From the Old Ruler’s Crypt, proceed right and defeat the crawling enemies. Go down the tree root and be careful of the mage enemy that may knock you off balance. Turn left to find a path that leads into an area full of Wicked inflicting waters.
Wait until the three enemies pass to not engage in a fight, then quickly go right and climb the stairs.Two other enemies will run towards the Maskless Oneand you can fight them if you want, or ignore them and climb the ladder. Approach the glowing wooden platform and use an Ardore Burst to break it. Cross to the other side and climb another ladder. Defeat the two enemies and head into a small opening on the right side to grab theKey to the Catacombs.
What’s Inside The Catacombs In Enotria: The Last Song
After you get theKey to the CatacombsinEnotria: The Last Song, return to the Old Ruler’s Crypt and unlock the gate.The gate will not lead to a hidden areaor offer extra exploration and valuable items. Instead, it will lead to a single room containing a Combat Rift and another gate that opens a shortcut to a previous area.
Upon activating the challenge, a single enemy will appear that can be considered a mini-boss inEnotria: The Last Song. The enemy will be using a spear that inflicts Wicked and Fatuo.To have a better chance of defeating it, make sure to use something with Gratia as it’s Fatuo’s weakness. If the Maskless One doesn’t possess any good weapon as it’s still early game, you can always leave the challenge for later. Upon finally defeating the mini-boss, players will obtain the following rewards:
