When you start inZelda: Echoes of Wisdom, you don’t get the ability to summon the game’s namesake Echoes until Zelda meets Tri while imprisoned in Hyrule Castle. At first, you are only able to summon three things at once, which is more thanenough to get around in the early gamebut not quite enough to get to some out-of-reach spots – and you can only summon a handful of monster Echoes, too.

As theEchoes you collectbecome more powerful and require more Triangles to summon, the reserve of Tri Power you have to draw from increases as well. You can just about double your max Echoes inEchoes of Wisdom, but to do so you will have to follow the game’s main story and level up Tri.

Zelda Echoes of Wisdom Increase Max Summons

What Is The Echoes of Wisdom Max Summon Limit?

Towards the beginning ofEchoes of Wisdom, Zelda’s companion Tri only has 3x Tri Power available. But pretty soon into the game you may upgrade Tri and become able to summon more Echoes at the same time.

In fact, the Tri Power maximum can be increased three timesover the course of the game,to a total of six max summonsEchoes of Wisdomplayers can have out at once.

Each Echo has anassigned Tri’s Power value, also called Triangles because Tri’s Power is represented by the number of Triangles in Tri’s tail. If you summon an Echo that is worth 1x Tri Power, one of these Triangles will move off of Tri and onto your summon. If you only have 3x total Tri Power available, this leaves two Triangles left for another Echo.

You can always check your remaining Tri Power by looking at Tri’s tail. Each remaining Triangle represents one Tri Power to summon Echoes with.

Increasing your Max Echoes limit inZelda:Echoes of Wisdomopens up a lot of possibilities. Each extra Tri Power means one extra resource for summoning high-level monster Echoes in combat, or another Echo to help bridge a gap you couldn’t get across before.

Unfortunately, though, to increase your max Echoes,Echoes of Wisdomplayers can’t exactly rush the process as it’s tied to main story progression.

How To Increase Max Summons In Echoes of Wisdom

To increase the maximum Echoes you may have out at once inEchoes of Wisdom, you must complete Rifts to increase Tri’s level. After being introduced to them in the game’s introductory sections, and aftercompleting the Suthorn Ruins dungeon, Rifts can be seen on your World Map.

When you increase Tri’s level by completing a Rift and rescuing some of Tri’s friends, Zelda gains the ability to summon more Echoes – but only at certain level-up points. Not every Tri Level increases your max Tri Power.

AtLevel 2, you will get one more Tri Power slotand be able to summon upto 4x Tri Powerworth of Echoes. But at Level 3, Tri will grant Zelda the ability to summon Echoes at a distance instead.

In fact, the next max summon upgradeEchoes of Wisdomplayers get isn’t untilTri Level 6, which grants 5x Triangles worth of Tri Power. Then upon getting toTri Level 9, the sixth and final Tri Power is unlocked for amax 6x Tri Power.

Zelda is typically guided to Rifts as part of the main story. The Rifts in Gerudo Valley and the Jerub Waters areas both contribute to Tri’s Levels upon completion, andZelda is sent to these locationsright after completing the first major dungeon.

Later on, you will gain access to Rifts in other areas after completing Hyrule Castle like the Faron Wetlands and Eldin Volcano – there’s even a Rift that’s taken over a carrot patch in Hyrule Field that you can only access as part of a side quest for Impa.

Most Rifts are also parts of side quests, so as long as you talk to NPCs and pick up side quests while following the main story, you won’t have a hard time finding more Rifts to level up Tri in.
