Frostpunk 2throws you into a frozenpost-apocalyptic world, where you have to lead a city through harsh winters and make tough choices to ensure your people survive. While your city is your main focus, you’ll eventually need to venture out into the unknown to scout for resources. To journey into the Frostlands, you need specialized units, calledFrostland Teams. This guide discusses how you can get more Frostland Teams to explore and colonize the frozen landscape inFrostpunk 2.
How To Get More Frostland Teams in Frostpunk 2
Frostland Teams inFrostpunk 2can only be recruited throughLogistics Districts. These buildings are responsible for sending charting expeditions to Frostland and transferring resources between the city and its colonies.
The problem is,Logistics Districts can only be built on Old Waystations. These are located at the outer edges of your settlement’s territory, which means you’ll need to Frostbreak to reach these spots before construction can begin.
Initially, you getten Frostland Teamsby building a Logistics District, which is enough to start exploring the nearby areas. However,as your city growsand your needs expand, you’ll need to build more Logistics Districts to recruit more teams. You also get the option to upgrade your Logistics Districts, which then grants you15 Frostland Teamsper district.
An expanded Logistics District comes with two building slots, where you can placeLogistics Bays. Each Logistics Bay has the potential to provide an additional15 Frostland Teams. With two Logistics Bays in an expanded District, you can get a total of45 Frostland Teams.
There are two types of Logistics Baysyou can build inFrostpunk 2:
Automated Bay
Automated Logistics Bays rely on using machines to manufacture equipment, cutting the workforce to 500. These bays are more efficient and require less storage space. Plus, they generate an additional15 Frostland Teams.
Vanguard Bay
On the other hand, Vanguard Bays focuses on survival gear and training. They need 600 workers and can generate a maximum of20 Frostland Teams.
How To Reduce Frostland Team Requirement
Alternatively, you canreduce Exploration Coststo minimize the number of Frostland Teams needed for exploration. Doing so frees up some Frostland Teams, so you can send them away to other areas for scouting. This is possible through a couple of research projects:
