There is a much easier way as well, which involves assigning a villager to a Smelter to get Glass.
Once players have a Stink Jar, they can use it as any other throwable by simply equipping it and throwing it at their desired location. It creates a poisonous area in the vicinity, damaging any creatures close to it.
