Where to Find the Flint Chief in Black Myth: Wukong

TheFlint Chiefwill be the first enemy encountered that drops aSamadhi Fire Crystal. To find it, players will want to start from theValley Entranceshrine in theFurnace Valley. You will want to follow the main path towards the large lava waterfall in the distance. Follow the path until you see a very small rock bridge that crosses over a small channel of lava. You will want to drop into the lava and turn left under the rock channel, but ensure that you have theFireproof Mantle, as it allows you to walk on lava without being burnt.

After crossing under the rock bridge, continue following the lava until you see a small stream of lava falling from above. There will be aFire Datetree just before it. As you pass the tree, theFlint Vanguardwill begin to form in front of you. The Flint Chief uses brute force, and mainly attacks with its arms. Focusing on the arms can destroy them, doing considerable damage. With the upgraded weapons and armor you should have at this point, the fight should not be that difficult. Defeating the Flint Chief will award you thefirst Samadhi Fire Crystal.

Where to Find the Flint Vanguard in Black Myth: Wukong

Before proceeding down the hill to face the Flint Vanguard, check your inventory and make sure you have at leastfourFlame Ore. You will need it for theMother of Flamlings, which is found close to the Flint Vanguard. If you do not have any, purchase them from a Keeper’s Shrine before heading down the hill.

To find the Flint Vanguard, you must first progress past the large Iron ball that later is revealed to beTop Takes Bottom, Bottom Takes Top. You simply need to stay out of its way, moving from safe space to safe space along the side of the path. Eventually, you’ll reach a cutscene that negates the large ball and opens up a new path leading to theCooling Slopearea. To reach this area, you may start from eitherAshen Pass III, or theFallen Furnace Cratershrine. All this changes is which direction you come from.

WHichever shrine you choose, head back along the path that the Iron Ball originally traveled. You’ll remember that there was originally a large wall of fire that blocked off an area along the path. Once the Plantain Fan is revealed, and the Iron Ball removed, this wall of fire is no longer present. Coming from Ashen Pass III, you’ll turn right where the fire wall used to be. Coming from Fallen Furnace Crater, you’ll turn left.

Make your way down the slope, and you’ll see aLuojia Fragrant Vineon the left. Continue past this until you spot a group of gray rocks. They stick out from the black rocks in the area. Approach the rocks and they will form into theFlint Vanguard. This enemy is essentially a flame-basedStone Vanguard. It will slam its upper body into the ground, causing large lava explosions to erupt around its body. For this reason, you’ll want to avoid staying close to the Flint Vanguard for long periods. It’s fairly slow, so you can get in, attack, and get out fairly quickly. Unfortunately, theFireproof Mantlewill not block all damage from the lava here, but it does help. Stay patient, and you will defeat the enemy, earning the secondSamadhi Fire Crystal.

Where to Find the Mother of Flamlings in Black Myth: Wukong

After defeating theFlint Vanguard, you will not have to go far to find theMother of Flamlings. Stick to the right side of the open area, and you’ll find a path that leads further down. You’ll pass several fire-based rock enemies before encountering severalFlamlings. If you did not getFlame Ore,you’re able to try to get it from the Flamlings. Keep going until you see an orange glowing area on the ground. As you approach it, you’ll see that you can interact with it. This is where you’ll need todeposit four Flame Ore to summon the Mother of Flamlings.

This enemy is essentially just a large Flamling, so the fight is not too difficult. As you whittle her health down, she will summon a large circle of basic Flamlings to attack you with fireballs. Keep an eye on them, as the fire can take you out faster than you might expect. However, if you take out the Flamlings quickly, the fight with the Mother of Flamlings will not be difficult. Defeating her will award you the final Samadhi Fire Crystal, and the ability to craft a staff that is tragically slept on, rivaling thebest weapons inBlack Myth: Wukong.
