After finding all 120 Puzzle Pieces,Astro Botplayers will unlock the gold statue in the Crash Site area. If they’ve also rescued 300 Bots, they’ll be able to use this statue to create a Bot tower that takes them high up into the sky, where they’ll findthe game’s final planetand the Great Master Challenge.

The Great Master Challenge combines elements from the 16 Lost Void stages to create one final grueling gauntlet. It only takes about two minutes to complete the stage, but learning how to successfully navigate the Great Master Challenge will likely takeAstro Botplayers a lot longer than that.

How to Complete the Grand Master Challenge in Astro Bot

After jumping across the four face button platforms, players will find themselves on a green platform with two golden bells. They’ll just need to jump into the gap between the two shockwaves, then use Astro’s hover jets after hopping onto the bounce pad to take out the spinning ball enemy from above.

This next area also has two more golden bells, as well as an electric bird. Players should dodge the first round of shockwaves and then wait for the second. While dodging, they should hover forward to goad the bird into attacking and then quickly hover back again, which will give them enough time to grab the bird’s beak before the next shockwaves arrive.

The trick to the next section is to keep moving. There’s a good chance that one of the smaller enemies will latch onto Astro on the second floor, but that’s okay. There are more of them on the next level anyway, so players should start charging a spinning punch after jumping on the second bounce pad and then unleash it as soon as they land at the top.

After the glass circle, there are four more face button platforms, two of which have enemies on them. Players should hover over the electric enemy to kill it and then quickly move to avoid getting hit by the purple dude’s projectile. They can then use Astro’s hover ability to take out the purple dude from above and then hop on the blue bounce pad to move on to the next section.

Here, players will need to run up the wall, using the coin trails to let them know when to jump. Once at the top, they’ll need to hover to the left to avoid being taken out by some flames. As soon as they land, they’ll want to start charging a spinning punch and then unleash it once they’re on the nearby ramp to take out the three purple enemies that are blocking the path to the top.

Running across the glass walkway here will lead players to four more face button platforms, with a fire-spitting chameleon on the last one. Rather than jumping from platform to platform as intended, they should hover from the Circle platform straight to the Square platform, as the chameleon seems to be programmed to target the intended path rather than the player.

The next section is pretty easy as long as players keep moving and keep an eye on the projectiles from the two purple enemies. It’s worth noting that the second one can hit Astro from quite some distance away, so players shouldn’t be afraid to take their time here, using the large moving blocks as cover and moving in midair whenever needed.

The large ball-spinning enemy can be incredibly tricky to navigate if players try and rush past it, but with the right timing, it really isn’t too bad. They should aim to land on the other side just after the ball has passed them, which will give them a full cycle to get to the enemy and use Astro’s jets on its head to take it out.

After some spinning face button platforms, players will arrive at the final section, where they’ll need to get past a bunch of flying birds in the shape of the four face buttons. For X and Triangle, they should alternate by going through and then going around the birds. For Square and Circle, they’ll need to go through the middle of them all. As long as they keep moving forward, though, this shouldn’t be too difficult.

Once they’ve gotten past the birds, players will find themselves face to face withthe Lyrical Master cameo Bot, which is based on Chop Chop Master Onion fromPaRappa the Rapper: an iconicrhythm game seriesthat was popular around the turn of the century. Rescuing him will uncluckthe “The Golden Bot” Trophy. Players will also be treated tothe Throwback Outfit for Astroandthe Gen 1 Dual Speeder paint job, which was inspired by the original Dual Shock controller for the very first PlayStation console.
