Space Marine 2has three game modes for players to choose from: Campaign, Operations, and Eternal War. Operations let players choose from various classes to complete missions with friends to rank up and unlock perks for a class before taking on harder challenges.
Eternal War is PVP, letting players take up the role of Loyalists or Chaos Space Marines to fight playing as various classes. When first starting the game, you won’t be able to choose which game mode you want to play, but you willchoose your difficulty. Here’s how to unlock Operations and PVP.
How To Unlock PVP & Operations In Space Marine 2
PVP and Operations don’t exist in a different section of the game removed from the campaign, and when first starting the game you’ll be forced to play the introduction and tutorial.This first missionwill follow Titus while he completes what becomes his last mission with the Deathwatch, and after falling in battle, he will wake up aboard an Ultramarine Battle Barge, and be reinstated into the Chapter.
After this, yourmission objective will tell you to board the Thunderhawk and continue to begin the second campaign mission. This is when the other game modes are unlocked, and by turning around and using the console on the platform, you can change your game mode to Operations or Eternal War.
How To Change Game Modes In Space Marine 2
To change your game mode, head to the Battle Barge and go to the Thunderhawk Platform. On theleft from the staircase to the platform is a consolethat lets you select one of the other game modes and switch over to it. This won’t change your location but will switch your character to the class you choose from the new game mode, while also opening up the customization area for your Space Marines.
Campaign
Board the Thunderhawk to continue the next mission in Titus' story, or pick up at the last checkpoint of a mission you didn’t finish.
Operations
Chooseone of six classesto complete missions, either solo or co-op. Playing as a class will level up to earn perks, with used weapons also getting upgraded as they level up.
Eternal War
Choose one of six classes to battle head-to-head with other players. One side will be loyalists, while the other plays asChaos Space Marines.
Players can switch their game mode at any time on the Barge, and can even leave campaign missions without finishing them to play something else. Campaign missions have checkpoints that will save your progress, while Operations and Eternal War games offer shorter rounds to complete.
