In Administrative realms such as the Byzantine Empire,Powerful Families are the most influentialand benefit from a specificFamily Attribute. This Attribute has 2 parts, and the head of the house can change it at any time:
There can only be5 Powerful Families at one time, although the Emperor’s family is always one, so technically there are six.
How To Increase The Powerful Family Rating
By opening the Administrative Government menu on the right, players can click on theNoble Families tab, and see the current rankings. Within the House coat-of-arms is a number that represents thePowerful Family Rating. Hovering over this Rating will show a detailed breakdown.

How To Become A Dominant Family In Roads To Power For CK3
Becoming a Dominant Family inRoads to Poweris a little more difficult, and is therefore rewarded with one of the158 Achievements inCrusader Kings 3. The advantage of being a Dominant Family is thatthe Emperor does not receive the bonusesof your Powerful Family Attribute. This can help a Dominant Family overthrow their liege.
To be considered a Dominant Family within an Administrative Empire,a House must control 25% of the Realm. This is achieved by getting family members appointed to Governorships and keeping them in Power. Influence,Gold, Prestige, and Schemes will all be key in achieving this.
