Players will face a host of alien and heretical enemies during their missions inSpace Marine 2, and this includes giant monstrosities like the Heldrake, a Chaos Daemon Engine threatening Demerium. It’s an intimidating enemy, but thankfully, fighting it isn’t as daunting a task as some might expect.
The Ultramarines will face the Heldrake during Operation: Reliquary, one of theco-op campaign missions inSpace Marine 2, and it’s going to take more than raw firepower to take it down. Here’s a short guide covering the mechanics of this boss fight as well as some tips to make fighting the Heldrake a little easier.
How To Beat The Operation Reliquary Boss In Space Marine 2
The Heldrake is immune to all forms of damage. To make it vulnerable, players will need tocheck the stained-glass windows for glowing symbols and activate matching terminalsscattered in the arena. Doing so will cause beams of light to strike the Heldrake, opening it up to incoming fire.
This boss is fairly easy to beat. The main issue in this fight is the hordes of enemies that spawn in-between damage phases. Also, if a player activates the wrong terminal, progress will be reset for that round of terminal activations, extending the battle and potentially causing everyone to lose the mission if the squad gets overwhelmed.
Best Weapons To Use
The Heldrake itself will constantly spew fire over the arena, and if players get pushed out of cover by smaller enemies, they’ll take significant damage from the flames. BringingSpace Marine 2’sbest swarm-clearing weaponsis advised.
As far as primary weapons go, a Tactical or Heavy marine shouldconsider swapping to a Plasma weaponbefore starting this boss fight. Players can deal massive damage to the boss within a single damage phase usingcharged shots from the standard and heavy versions of thePlasma Incinerator, especially if the Tactical marine’s Auspex Scan is affecting the Heldrake.
For closer-ranged classes like the Bulwark and Assault, the Plasma Pistol and HeavyBolt Pistolwill do just fine. They won’t match the damage output of the other classes, but dealing any amount of damage is good. If a swarm is loose during the damage phase, consider clearing it out for the team instead.
