How to Assemble a Formation in Ara: History Untold

From building and improvements to units and Triumphs, there are various city Projects for gamers to choose from inAra: History Untold. When playerscreate a military unit inAra: History Untold, it’ll be sent to the city’s Reserves as soon as its production is complete.

While in Reserves, units do not consume Food.

Once gamers find it necessary, they can take military units out of the Reserve by deploying them. Units can be deployed on their own as a Vessel or a Squad, or put together with several others as a Batallion.

When units are arranged in a formation inAra: History Untold, they deal accumulative damage based on the units in the formation, and the base damage can change depending on the combination of units that have been banded together.

How to Add Units to a Deployed Force in Ara: History Untold

In various strategy games, players merge their units at a later point in the game to create a stronger force. However, that is not possible inAra: History Untold;once units have left the Reserves, they cannot change their formation, and they cannot be placed back into the Reserves for reformation.

Even though gamers can’t create a new formation once they’ve deployed one unit or more, they can group them together. It is not ideal, but at least it allows me to control various units at once and have them move and attack simultaneously. To do this, players must order each unit (or more) to move to the same location as the others.

If done correctly, the units will appear together when the player selects them and a red badge will appear above their icons with the words “Multiple Forces” above them. This way, players will be able to control the various units simultaneously and eventually send them off in their own directions again.

With all of this information in mind, players should only deploy a formation (or not) if they’re sure about it - this cannot be changed later on.
