Following the Penacony arc, the gameis in a transition phase to prepare forHonkai: Star Rail’s next major planet coming in Version 3.0, which is expected to come out next year. But as early as now, there have been a number of leaks hinting at details about rumored characters, maps, and story content.
In a series of newHonkai: Star Railleaks posted on Reddit, prominent leaker HomDGCat revealed that therumored 5-star character Aglaeawill allegedly have an on-field summoning ability. There are no details yet as to what the summon will look like, but it will reportedly come from Aglaea’s Ultimate ability and can cast skills indepedently to deal lighting damage to enemies. It’s also said to provide Aglaea with a buff and restore her energy, so she can cast her Ultimate quicker. Additionally, enemies will be able to attack the summon, but allies can’t heal it.
How the Rumored Summon Mechanic Can Affect Honkai: Star Rail’s Meta
If the leak is reliable, this would be the first time thatHonkai: Star Railwill have an on-field summoning mechanic. In the past, characters likeTopaz would have her pet companion Numbyhelp her in battle. However, the difference is that Topaz doesn’t have to summon Numby and has abilities dedicated to the Warp Trotter. ManyHonkai: Star Railfans are also curious about how this new mechanic would work in battle, like whether its actions would count as a follow-up attack or not. They also likened it to the “trashcan mechanic” during the “Trailblaze Friendship is Magic” event, where Lordly Trashcans appeared to help in battle.
Although the summon can reportedly deal lightning damage, it might not mean that Aglaea will be a Lightning-type character. Previous reports claimed that Aglaea will be an Ice-type Destruction character.
Honkai: Star Rail’s meta is ever-changing depending on the character releases and the gameplay mechanics that it introduces. In the past few versions, the Super Break meta ruledHonkai: Star Railbecause of the Harmony Trailblazer’s ability and characters likeFirefly who deal massive Break Effect damage. With on-field summons, there would be many opportunities to plan out attacks and possibly strengthen the summon to deal more damage.
