Haunted Heart, also known asThe IslandandLost Islandin Spain, is a 2024 thriller directed bySpanish filmmakerFernando Trueba, based on a screenplay by Rylend Grant and Trueba himself. It stars Spanish actress Aida Folch as Alex, a woman who comes to work at a high-end seaside restaurant as a waitress, then falls in love with its manager, Max, portrayed by American actor Matt Dillon. As expected, this sets off a chain reaction involving plenty of drama, or else there wouldn’t be much of a movie.
Aida Folch and Matt Dillon Take a Tense House Tour in Haunted Heart Clip
Game Rant can now share an exclusive clip from the2024 movie, which sees Max offer Alex a tour of his house located on a remote Greek island where the film itself takes place. While Max’s lodgings are fairly modest, Alex quickly discovers a fancy-looking oboe that her host says he cannot play following a brief pause, insisting that it came with the house itself. He also disowns a nearby cross in a similar fashion immediately afterward. There’s palpable romantic tension throughout thisHaunted Heartscene, although Max eventually shuts it down.
This particular excerpt is far from the only occasion on which Alex will learn more about her love interest. Max’s backstory is the central mystery of the film, and something that Aida Folch’s character gradually learns more about over the course of its 128-minute runtime.
