Summary

After a long wait for fans of the Wizarding World, made to feel even longer by the absence of the beloved broom sport fromHogwarts Legacy,Quidditch Championshas been released. With a single-player that allows fans to take on the Hogwarts Quidditch Cup, other schools in the Triwizard Tournament and eventually other countries in the iconic Quidditch World Cup in addition to an exciting and competitive multiplayer, players have their work cut out for them in getting used to the new mechanics inUnbroken Studios' sports adventure.

However, for a game that places importance on its competitive nature for its quick and crazy matches, the inclusion of skill trees has been puzzling to some players. While playing a few matches allows players to fully level up their favorite position to play, some newcomers might be unsure which skills are the most important to invest in early on, or how effective these abilities will be. Here are the best skills to take early on to make the biggest changes to how the game is played and give your chasers, beaters, seekers and keepersthe best odds in the broom-riding sport.

8Quaffle Carry Speed I

Chaser Skill Gives Better Mobility

The job of achaseris a simple one, but it is the main heart of the game of Quidditch. Players will defend their own hoops by tackling players to steal possession of the Quaffle and then make their way up the pitch to score in one of their opponents' hoops. Nabbing the Quaffle Carry Speed I upgrade as soon as possible will make Chasers all the more effective. The perk means that Chasers will be slowed by a lot less when in possession of the Quaffle, meaning they will have an easier time dodging enemy tackles and have to pass a lot less to make their way up the pitch. Getting this early can let new players speed away from the competition and have a much easier time scoring.

7Catch And Steal Radius I

Keeper Skill That Increases Defense Ability

Whether players are interested in playing as the Keeper or not, the role can be very difficult due to the speed of the incoming balls and the feints and fake-outs that players can perform as they fly in to attempt a shot at the hoops. The Catch And Steal Radius I perk means that Keepers have a much larger space to grab the Quaffle from. Being a wider target that can grab the ball from enemy players will immediately have a huge knock-on effect on the defensive abilities. Upgrading the Keeper with this skill is important to do early, as giving your customisable Keeper the skill in the single player tournaments will mean even when players swap from the Keeper they will still retain the increased range.

6Snitch Meter Distance

Seeker Skill To Shoot Past Opposition

Catching up with the Snitch is the name of the game for the Seeker, who can only enter the pitch when the evasive golden ball makes an entrance to the game. While the gameplay differs slightly from the true Quidditch rules in the Harry Potter series, catching the Snitch before the enemy Seeker still nets the player’s side 30 points, the equivalent of three goals scored. Ensuring that they get their first should be a Seeker’s first priority and the Snitch Meter Distance perk will help close the gap faster than ever. The upgrade will mean that the Seeker can fill up their meter from further away, so they will have less distance to close before they can make a jump for the Snitch.

5Bludger Damage

Beater Skill Lets Players Eliminate Enemy Players Faster

Perhaps the most important position in the game during the current period of the game, the Beatercan have a lot of control and presence on the pitch. The beater can summon one Bludger, balls designed to be pelted at other players to interrupt their plays, make them fumble passes or shots at the goal or even force enemy Seekers away from the Snitch. Increasing the amount of damage that a Bludger does, then, helps Beaters to eliminate other players faster. Eliminating players, knocking them off their brooms, means that the other team will be a player down and the more damage that the Bludger does, the fewer shots on target that the Beater has to succeed. Bludger Damage should be one of the first upgrades for anyone who wants to play in this aggressive and intense position.

4Pass Distance I

Chaser Skill That Allows For More Creative Plays

When playing online, often players will find themselves against competent teams that play a lot better than the AI-controlled foes in the single player. If the opposing team has a decent defense, it can be hard for Chasers to push up the field to get close enough to the hoops for a decent shot. Pass Distance I is a skill that will let players throw the ball to team mates much further away to get the Quaffle out of tricky situations, andmake more inventive moments possible. Last minute passes and huge assists become a possibility and defense becomes much harder for any facing off against a player with this skill.

3Tackle Damage I

Beater Skill Boosts Tackle Efficiency

While using the Bludgers should be the main focus of the Beaters, any way that the players can do extra damage to try to eliminate more Chasers will go a long way in keeping the enemy team away from the hoops and struggling to find openings as they move up the field. While Beaters already do a fair amount of damage when they tackle with their bats, the Tackle Damage I upgrade gives them a lot more utility while the Bludger Summon is on cooldown.Eliminating playerscan become easy without using any Bludger at all.

2Snitch Chase I

Seeker Skill Lets Players Close The Gap

Another much-needed skill that makesSeekersstand a chance against fierce competition, the Snitch Chase I skill means that the meter that determines when a player can catch the Snitch will fill faster. While giving a flat advantage like this is catastrophic if the opposition has it, for crafty Seekers it can make the last bit of difference to snatch the Snitch and win the match. It can take a while to get the meter full, due to the Snitch’s erratic movements and howwide of the pitch it can journey, so increasing the rate it goes up at is a huge improvement.

1Playcaller Cooldown

Keeper Skill To Buff The Team

The Keeper is given another important job when their sights are clear of the Quaffle. They can fire off a Playcaller that allows other players to fly through for increased speed and more boost meter. This can work to unify the team as well as to highlight points where the enemy defense is currently thin. The Playcaller Cooldown ability means that the Keeper can use this managerial ability much more often, and as a result players can boost to their hearts' content and be more cohesive in their formations on the pitch.
