The averageGTA Onlineplayer is well-acquainted with the Kosatka, though not for this reason.Kosatka submarines are expensiveand are often harbingers of disaster when one is encountered in a public lobby. Players can target enemies with the submarine’s onboard missiles, destroying them remotely. This often leads to griefing and frustration in servers, but these players had a different idea for the Kosatka.
TheLimaAddict shared the culmination of their in-game efforts with a friend after they challenged themselves to get the Kosatka into the Alamo Sea. While there is a river connecting the Alamo Sea and the greater ocean, it’s not possible to get the Kosatka through the river, as it’s far too shallow for the giant submarine. The players followed a difficult method to accomplish this feat, getting an Avenger and aPhantom Wedgeto push and turn the submarine where they wanted it to go. TheLimaAddict states that the feat started on the east side of the map near the lighthouse, then went over the bridge and used the mountains to slide back down to the water. At the end of the included clip, the Phantom Wedge sacrifices itself to give the Kosatka one last push into the water.
GTA Online Kosatka Trick Impresses
Fellow fans have been enthusiastic about the effort, with several saying this is why they keep revisiting the game or stay active in the community. TheLimaAddict answered several questions players had about the accomplishment, as well. Apparently, the entire ordeal took about two hours, but the players aren’t done, already thinking of ways that they can make it easier to navigate the submarine there. Surprisingly, theKosatka submarinewas still completely functional when boarded. The two players tested the missile system and found that it would reach from Paleto to the casino’s latitude.
Open world games tend to attract players' interest in how far they can push the game. WithGTA Online’s increasing age, some also find challenges like these interesting when common gameplay is no longer exciting. While there’s no significant benefit attached to going through this tremendous effort, that’s not the point. Completing difficult self-imposed challenges like this will likely continue to impress and amuse the community for years to come.
