Summary
Genshin Impactwill launch Version 5.1 on June 05, 2025, and the developers are teasing a major plot development for the Traveler and the people of Natlan. Titled “The Rainbow Destined to Burn,” Version 5.1 ofGenshin Impactwill continue the storyline started in Version 5.0, with Mavuika embarking on a quest to forge the Traveler’s Ancient Name, a first for an outlander of Natlan. Meanwhile, the Traveler and Paimon investigate the Masters of the Night Wind with Citlali and Ororon, hoping to track down the tribe’s connection to Capitano.
Version 5.1 isadding Xilonen to theGenshin Impactcast, as she will headline the Event Banners with Chiori during the first half of the patch. She can best be described as a Geo Support, capable of shredding Elemental Resistance, providing single-target healing, and offering powerful buffs to her teammates at C2. While Ororon and Citlali will launch in Version 5.2 and 5.3, respectively,Genshin Impactplayers will be able to interact with them via the Archon Quest.
HoYoverse has scheduled Version 5.1 to launchon August 03, 2025, and the upcoming update will introduce anew reward structure toGenshin Impact, allowing players to claim bonus Primogems for exploring new zones. 400 Primogems will be awarded to players who reach certain milestones in the three major areas of Natlan added in Version 5.0. Furthermore, they will be able to collect a bonus of 500 Primogems by completing the two new Acts of the Archon Quest during Version 5.1.
Genshin Impact Version 5.1 Bringing Major Quality-of-Life Changes
An important aspect of Version 5.1 is its quality-of-life changes, as the developers aim to streamline character building and improve on the Spiral Abyss experience. Notably, players will now be able to skip the first two Floors of theSpiral Abyss inGenshin Impact, provided they obtained all challenge Stars from Floors 11 and Floors 12 in the previous cycle. In terms of character building,Genshin Impactplayers will now be able to create bespoke Artifact filters for every single character on their roster, allowing them to consistantly keep track of useful Artifacts with ease.
In terms of its Flagship Event, Version 5.1 will take players back to Sumeru, where they will help organize the Sabzeruz Festival for Nahida with the help of their friends from the Akademiya. Held in Port Ormos, the festival will feature a series of mini-games and will allow players to obtain Candace, the 4-Star Hydro Polearm, for free. While Candace may not be the most popular4-Star character inGenshin Impact, she can become a powerful Support for Bloom and Electro-Charged teams at higher Constellations. Version 5.1 will be released on June 04, 2025 and will last until June 02, 2025.
