WhileFunko Fusionmay have massive franchises such asJurassic WorldandBattlestar Galacticaat its disposal, there are a few more that may be a bit shocking for some. Specifically,Funko Fusionhas also included some of the biggest names in horror right now, such asM3GANandFive Nights At Freddy’s. Even though none of them play massive roles within the game, their presence alone is a nice treat for horror fans everywhere, and the horrifying fun should not stop there.

As of now,10:10 Games is planning multiple rounds of DLCthat will add new characters and outfits, likely themed around the many franchises that are already within the game. Through this DLC, the studio has the chance to delve even further into its many horror franchises and tap into countless new characters. Not only could that make this game far more appealing to horror enthusiasts, but it may be the exact thingFunko Fusionneeds to truly set itself apart from the competition.

Funko Fusion Has So Many Horror Icons it Could Still Play Around With

Funko Fusion Has Already Tapped Some Horror Franchises

At launch,Funko Fusionalready had a couple of horror franchises at its disposal that are quite popular with fans. One of the biggest ones comes in the form oftheFive Night’s at Freddy’sfranchise, as characters such as Freddy Fazbear and Foxy can be unlocked. Additionally, players can also put themselves in the shoes of M3GAN from the aptly titledM3GAN, Chucky fromChild’s Play, Frankenstein’s Monster from Universal’s Monsters roster, Emerald Haywood fromNope, and multiple characters fromThe Thing.

These characters do a great job of creating a more adult-skewing collect-a-thon, and luckily, the fun does not have to end there. Through these franchises, countless more characters could be adapted.Funko Fusionhas barely scratched the surface oftheFive Night’s at Freddy’sroster, there are many versions of Chucky that could fit right into the game, and Universal has countless monsters at its disposal. And if the studio does not want to add whole new characters, it could just do what it did for M3GAN and give players more unique costumes to mess around with.

Universal is a Horror Franchise Juggernaut

It would be cool to see 10:10 Games further explore the horror franchises that already exist withinFunko Fusion, however, there are also so many other franchises that it could tap into if the studio wants to add more IPs to the game. It seems like the title is built around Universal properties, and over the years, the studio has made a name for itself within the horror market. Not only are the Universal Monsters extremely iconic, but there are so many more IPs that the studio holds that could befantastic additions toFunko Fusion.

For one,Funko Fusionhas already explored one of Jordan Peele’s horror films inNope, so it would only make sense to addGet OutandUsto that list. Along with that,Universal Studios has the likes ofHalloween,Psycho,Hannibal Lecter,Night of the Living Dead,The Purge,Insidious, andHappy Death Dayat its disposal. Additionally, if it wants to lean towards a more family-friendly Halloween IP, thenThe Addams Familyis just waiting to be adapted.

Universal Pictures might be one of the biggest names in horror right now, as it seems to churn out all sorts of modern classics. And sinceFunko Fusionhas already explored some of those characters, more horror franchises would seemingly fit right into the multiversal adventure. While it remains to be seen just what this DLC will look like, it would be a massive missed opportunity if it did not bring with it at least one more horror icon.
