AlthoughFunko Fusionmay have just been released, some players are already looking for what comes next. As of now, there is no news about what that future will look like. But, based on comments made by the developers and the fact the game already has DLC, there is a chance that loads of content looms on the horizon. While it remains to be seen what that content looks like,Funko Fusionmay already have the perfect post-launch content laid out for it.

ThroughFunko Fusion, players have gotten to explore worlds and play asiconic characters from over 20 different franchises. This has been a treat for fans of pop culture, especially those who have been craving games for some of these IPs. However, while it may be great to see these worlds in action, many of the IPs still have loads of stories and characters waiting to be tapped. And through post-launch DLC, 10:10 Games could deliver on that potential.

Funko Fusion Has So Much DLC Potential Just Waiting to be Tapped

Funko Fusion Has Left Gaps In Some of Its Franchises' Rosters

When players first jump into the many worlds ofFunko Fusion, they may notice a few gaps within the rosters of some of the franchises. While the majority of the characters are present for the game’s biggest IPs, the additional IPs have been left with only a couple of their characters. The Walking Deadfans can onlyplay as Rick or Michonne, Sven is the only character fromVoltronpresent, practically none of the Universal Monsters are in-game besides Frankenstein, andFive Nights at Freddy’s barely has any presence. Although they may not be the game’s selling points, they all still have so much more to giveFunko Fusion.

Those IPs are not the only ones missing characters from their rosters, as even the major franchises still have some characters waiting to be Funko-fied. So,Funko Fusion’s DLC should deliver just that. Let players check out more of their fan-favorite franchises through the characters that were left out of the fun at launch. Not only would that expand the roster in exciting new ways, but it would also be easier to pump the game with new characters instead of adding entirely new IPs to the mix.

Funko Fusion Could Also Get Dozens of New Levels and IPs

However, adding new IPs to the mix should not be out of the question.Funko Fusiondoes already deliver over 20 different franchises for players to explore, but there is always room for more. Much like howLEGO Dimensionsadded entirely new storieswith its level packs, 10:10 Games could do the same here. Maybe Eddy’s shenanigans caused havoc in a Dreamworks' film likeShrek, maybe Mega Man needs to call upon other video game protagonists like Sonic for something, or maybe a franchise such asHellboyorE.Tjust needs some extra support.

As long as these characters and levels offer a couple more hours of fun, they could serve as fantastic pieces of DLC. They could come in the form of entirely new levels to the Factory, or they could simply add in some additional cameo levels. Whatever form they come in, giving players even more franchises to play with couldtakeFunko Fusionto new heights.

As of now, the only DLC thatFunko Fusionhas isThe Walking Deadpack and theTeam Fortress 2pack on PC. There are probably even more DLC packs already in the works, with character packs most likely being a part of that post-launch plan. So, hopefully, they are worthy additions to the formula. And with the treasure trove of franchises at Funko’s disposal, the content may never have to end.
