Summary
Funko Fusionjust received a massive update patch, one that adds quality-of-life improvements and bug fixes across the board. Funko recently partnered with 10:10 Games for an epic crossover game featuring its popular line of Funko Pop figures and franchises likeBack to the Future,Five Nights at Freddy’s, andTeam Fortress 2inFunko Fusion, which launched on Windows and current-gen consoles on September 13. A version for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 is set to release on November 15.
So far, reactions toFunko Fusionhave been mixed, with much of the criticism being aimed at its formulaic combat and repetitive missions. Still, many see potential inFunko Fusion’s mix of popular charactersfrom video games and Universal Pictures properties, especially if developers decide to add DLC characters to fill out notable holes in the game’s already-packed roster. 10:10 Games can also address some of the technical issues players have withFunko Fusionin the form of update patches, and the developer has already gotten a big head start on that.
Not too long afterFunko Fusionlaunched late last week, the developers behind the toy crossover title released its first quality-of-life update, as announced in a message onSteam. According to the connected message, the developers took player feedback into account when choosing what issues to address in this initial patch, which now makes it much easier for fans to unlock theirfavoriteFunko Fusioncharacters, use health-restoring items, or produce Silver Crowns. Extra save redundancies have been added to prevent players from losing their progress, and the UI for level screens has been adjusted so that Cameo IP can be more easily seen.
First Funko Fusion Update Fixes Quality-of-Life Issues
There are also numerous bug fixes and gameplay adjustments acrossseveralFunko Fusionworlds, including rebalanced levels and boss fights and corrections to instances where players would get locked in a particular section or be unfairly overwhelmed by constantly respawning enemies. More universal problems fixed by this update include cutscenes being unskippable while replaying a level, players being prevented from obtaining 100% status, and levels being reset without the player running out of lives first.
As noted before,Funko Fusionhas been getting a mixed reception, but there is still plenty of time for the game to pick up support withfuture update patches and DLC additions. This first major patch is a solid start, providing many hoped-for adjustments and fixes to help players get a more enjoyable experience inFunko Fusion, which will branch out onto PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in November.
