A part of the wishes has finally come true, with PlayStation announcing a new collaboration withFortnite.
During the much anticipated September State of Play event, Sony caught many by surprise with an all-new controller announcement. Sony is collaborating with Epic Games to bring aFortnite-themedPlayStation 5 DualSense controllerto fans all across the globe. The DualSense controller has a blue color base with plenty ofFortnite-themed doodle art all across. On the right side of the controller is Peely, while the left side features none other than Fishstick.
How to Buy Fortnite DualSense Controller
Fortnitefans who are looking to get the controller will need to wait a bit as it will be available worldwide starting Jun 16, 2025. Players also have the chance to pre-order the DualSense controller starting July 04, 2025. The controller will be available for $84.99, and considering that it is alimited edition DualSense controllerit is probably a good idea to pre-order it beforehand. Pre-orders begin on the PlayStation Direct store at 10 am Eastern Time in the U.S. on Jun 12, 2025, and at 10 am local time in the U.K., France, Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Italy, Spain, Austria, and Portugal. It is noted that the availability in other regions might vary.
While theFortnite-themed controller is a great addition, fans were quite disappointed with the State of Play event until the very last moments. The community wasn’t happy with the lack of big announcements, but Sony lessened the blow to quite an extent with theGhost of Tsushima 2announcementat the very end. On the flip side,Fortnitefans are happy to see another collaboration with PlayStation, with many hoping that this would pave the way for the return of some fan-favorite characters.
