FortniteBattle Royale celebrates its seventh birthday this week, and Epic Games wants fans to commemorate this milestone with them. From now until the nextFortniteupdate, there will be tons of birthday presents as well as delicious celebratory cake. On top of this, most of the birthday-themed amenities are connected with limited-time quests.
Gamers who participate and complete the exclusive Birthday Quests will be able tounlock free cosmetic items inFortnite. However, they act fast, as these quests are available for less than a week.

In total, there are six Birthday Quests inFortnite. On top of giving players tons of XP, they also grant cosmetic rewards. Here is how to complete each quest before time runs out:
How to Wish the Bus Driver a Happy Birthday in Fortnite

During the birthday event, players can’tthank the Battle Bus driver inFortnite, instead, they’ll be able to wish him a happy birthday.
To wish the bus driver a happy birthday, gamers must press the Emote button before hopping off the bus. Since gamers can only complete this quest once they wish the bus driver happy birthday a total of seven times, they will have to play at least seven matches - it’s only possible to thank him one time per match, and it’s at the very start.
How to Throw Birthday Presents in Fortnite

Birthday Presents can be found as regular floor loot, inside chest containers, and supply drops.To open a Birthday Present inFortnite, gamers have to throw it on the floor, which they can do by selecting it in their inventory, pressing the Aim button, and then the Fire button.

Players can find Birthday Medallions inside Birthday Presents inFortnite.While the medallion is equipped, it will spawn Balloons on the player’s back every now and then, and gamers can float in the air by jumping.
Players can have up to three Balloons equipped at a time inFortnite, the more Balloons, the higher they’ll be about to float, meaning they’ll be traveling a longer distance, thus completing the quest faster.

Birthday Cake has been placed in the center ofmost named locations; players will be able tofind Birthday Cake at Doomstadt, Castle Doom, Reckless Railways, Restored Reels, Grim Gate, The Underworld, The Raft, Grand Glacier, Mount Olympus, and Redline Rig.
Around each cake, gamers will find eight slices of space-themed birthday cake, which they can consume. Since they will have to eat a total of seven slices and Birthday Cake slices only grant 10 HP, it’s actually possible to complete this quest in one go. As long as players have some health missing, they can go up to the cake and start eating slices.
If they’ve already reached full health, they can damage themselves by jumping off a high location and purposely losing HP.

The Birthday Flare Gun can be found inside Birthday Presents. However, it seems to spawn much less frequently compared to the Birthday Medallion. Once gamers have found it, they can reveal opponents' location by shooting it in any direction with players.
Fortnite 7th Birthday Quests Rewards
Besides receiving 20,000 XP per completed quest, players can also get cosmetic rewards as part of the Birthday Quest Bonus Goals section; to unlock all of this year’s Birthday event rewards, gamers have to complete at least 5 Birthday Quests. Here is what they’ll receive as they progress through the quests:
When Does the Fortnite Birthday Event End?
The Birthday event only lasts one week. As soon as the quests went live, they had a “6d, 16h” counter next to them, indicating that the Birthday Quests would only be around until the next update, v31.30.
According to Epic Games’s official blog post, theBirthday Quests will be available inFortniteuntil 1:30 AM ET on June 04, 2025.
