Final Fantasy 16: Echoes of the Fallenwas the first piece of DLC content for the action RPG. It’s a substantial three-hour quest with challenging boss fights and more. To access it, you must complete theSide Quests, “Where There’s a Will” and “Priceless"and reach the main quest, “Back to their Origin.”
Then, you may speak to Charon at the Hideaway to trigger the “Echoes of the Fallen” quest and speak to Joshua. When the cutscene with Clive, Joshua, Jill, Charon, and Hapocrates discussing the black market dusk crystals has finished, it’s time for Clive to make his way to Port Isolde to begin the quest.
Make Your Way To Port Isolde In Final Fantasy 16
The party will arrive in Port Isolde to be greeted by three hooded men fleeing from a Sellsword. Speak to the Sellsword andselect ‘Yes’when the onscreen prompt indicates that you have reached a pivotal moment in Echoes of the Fallen.
Find The Traders
After the scene with the Sellsword has finished, jump on your Chocobo andfollow the marker north to Bewit Bridgeto trigger another scene with some merchants. Then, head west through the Quiet Sands toAuldyhl Docks, either engaging or evading the enemies that spawn along the path.
Defeat the bandits looking for the hooded trio in Auldyhl, collect the items from the chest near the houses on the right, and continue forward to trigger a cutscene. The traders will lure the bandits to their location and run away. Defeat the enemies and continue to follow the marker through the swamps to the trader’s location. After the cutscene, defeat the monsters and make way toEastpool.
Make For The Sagespire
Pick some healing supplies at Martha’s Rest, thenFast Travel to Eastpool.Head toward the quest marker and push through the gate at the end of town.
After the cutscene reveals that weaponized Goblins are lurking in the Deadlands, defeat them and follow Joshua to the opening that leads to the tower, triggeringThe Only Way is Up Trophy.
The Sagespire Awakens
Fast travel to the Sagespire from the world map to trigger a cutscene showing the Tower awakening at the Gallery. Clive and the party’s powers have returned, so make quick of the Patrol Units along the pathway and open the blue door. Continue up to the chest containing theEscapement Bit to the left of the doorway.
Collect the Bits if you want tounlock the Bit Fit Trophy. Enter the hallway to defeat the enemies using a newHearthflamesphere mechanic, a shield that protects Clive’s enemies from melee damage. Defeat the enemies withranged magic attacks only(the physical attacks will damage Clive instead). Continue along the path until you encounter the first boss,Sigma.
Defeat Sigma
Spoils For Defeating Sigma
Sigma is the first boss in Echoes of the Fallen, and it’s an intimidating sight. However, avoid its ground attacks, stay on top of Clive’s healing, and avoid its ground attacks. Break down Sigma’s will withTitanic Blockand launch a counterattack followed by Raging Fists, Ignition, and Gigaflare.
After defeating Sigma, a cutscene continues, and Clive and the party decide to push forward up the tower.Equip Clive with the new Fallen Enforcer sword dropped by Sigma,find the platform with the blue lights, and stand in the center to ascend to the Lower Ring area.
The Lower Ring
Follow Torgal and open the door with the blue light to enter a room with some kind of magical cages and creatures inside. Take a left across the walkway tocollect the Fallen Belt and equip it(if it’s more powerful than your current setup).
Proceed through another door with a blue light to discover another room with imprisoned creatures. An alarm will sound, and the mutated beasts will attack the party. Defeat them, and walk through the next blue door. Follow the pathway until encountering another room with a blue glowing button. Press it to trigger a cutscene and gain moreknowledge about the tower from the machine.
Once the machine has finished talking, proceed through the adjacent door tofight some more mutated creatures and a Chimeramarked by a blue light, located to the left (within the same room).
After defeating the creatures, continue to the next room and defeat the Goblins, followed by the Wyverns.
Then, collect theNourishment Bitto the right of the steps. Proceed up the stairs to fight the second Echoes of the Fallen boss,Omicron.
Defeat Omicron
Spoils For Defeating Omicron
Omicron presents more of a challenge than Sigma, but employing Clive’s dodges and Titan Block counterattacks can disrupt his assaults and break his will for extra stagger damage.
Stay on top of Clive’s health by using healing potions.Ignition and Gigaflareare powerful attacks to use against Omicron. After he’s defeated, you’ll obtain theBombardment Bit.Now, make your way through the next door with the blue light and take the lift toThe Landing.
The Landing
Leave the lift area and take a left at the end of the path. Continue straight until you encounter some flying enemies.
Defeat them and take a right tocollect the Fallen Braceletsfrom the chest. Equip the Fallen Bracelets (if they are better than your current set). Continue along the path and lower the pillars that block Clive’s way by pressing the blue light.
Follow the long path with blue lights, and Clive will get confronted by multiple enemies — including twoPrototype Units EVLs. After defeating them, open the chest to the right of the pillars blocking Clive’s path to obtain theDisengagement Bitand 200 Bloody Hides. Proceed through the door, and the party will encounter theAngra Mainyuboss.
Defeat Angra Mainyu
Spoils For Defeating Angra Mainyu
The Angra Mainyu is the hardest boss fight so far and uses multiple powers like bombing and quake attacks that cover a lot of ground.
attempt to jump and use thePhoenix Eikon powersto get away, follow the patterns, and ensure Clive stands between the clear gaps when the creature launchesits most powerful attack, the Quakja. Use ranged magic and Gigaflare to damage its will and health. Get close and hit it with everything at Clive’s disposal, switching between powers as much as possible.
After defeating the boss, the Tower will be on red alert. Proceed through the locked pillars and use the left to reach The Upper Ring.
The Upper Ring
The party will arrive at the Upper Ring, so follow the path and walk through the door on the left to fight a room full of goblins. Then, make your way up the stairs and collect theAssailment Bitfrom the chest near the door with the blue light.
Continue through the blue doors, defeating more enemies along the way, until you find another boss character called Asterios.
Defeat Asterios
Spoils For Defeating Asterios
Asterios is a formidable foe, wielding a perilous attack known asDeadly Swing. Employ dodging tactics to evade these assaults. Use Clive’s speed —Shiva’s Cold Snapis also an excellent way to avoid attacks. Then, tryBahumut’s Gigaflareand other flurry attacks like Odin’s Dancing Steel, Titan’s Raging Fists, and his Limit Break to stagger it. Finish it off withClive’s most powerful Eikon abilities. After defeating Asterios, Clive will obtain the Revivement Bit unlocking all Bit Fit Trophy.
Continue through the locked door and follow the path to another device for more information about what the Fallen were attempting to do with crystals. After the device has finished, continue through the open door and jump down to fight the enemies below.
With the enemies defeated, squeeze through the gap and open the chest to obtain aGoblin CoinandThe Worm Mounts Orchestrion Roll.Continue the fleshy path and duck under the gap to fight anotherOmicronsentinel.
Defeat The Second Omicron
Use the same strategy as the first Omicron fight, but ensure youdefeat the smaller enemies firstand then focus on Omicron with your flurry attacks, dodge, and heal — and use the Titan’s counterattack to stagger it. After defeating it, proceed to follow the open pathway to the lift, which takes you toThe Hall of Elicitation.
Spoils For Defeating Omega
Omega Phase One
It’s time to face the final boss in the Hall of Elicitation. Approach the giant crystal to trigger a cutscene that manifests the Eikon called Omega. Normal attacks don’t do a lot of damage, so the focus is to wear down its will and stagger it for massive damage. UseClive’s Limit Breaksand his most powerful Eikons. After its health drops, it will evolve into its second form.
Omega Phase Two
The second phase is harder, but use jump,Phoenix Shift, andCold Snapto avoid its attacks. When it creates distance, keep using ranged magic to break down Omega’s will. When it’s staggered, use Clive’s Limit Break and hit with every Eikon at his disposal.
Omega can hit Clive with theAtomic Ray; look for the clear gaps and wait on that spot until the spell has finished.
If Clive gets caught in the Atomic Ray, he’lldie in one shot.
Omega Phase Three (Final Phase)
Omega’s third phase has Clive and the party working against the clock to defeat the monster before it destroys all creation. Just hit Omega with everything Clive has before the time runs out. After Omega is defeated, Clive will obtain theOmega Moduletocraft the Omega Weapon.After the cutscene has finished, travel back to Hideaway and speak to Charon to end the quest — and speak to the blacksmith to forge Clive’s new sword.
