Summary
A talentedFallout 4player online has transformed their in-game settlement into Shipment, the iconicCall of Dutymap featured in several iterations of the franchise in years gone by. Shipment was first seen in 2007’sCall of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, but one player has figured out how to recreate it inFallout 4.
Prior toFallout 4’s launch, the game’s settlement-building system was hyped up as a significant feature of the game. In the years since, players have perfected the mechanics, using them to create more ambitious settlements than ever. It’s cool to see what the community is still coming up with, almost a decade after the game’s original release. OneFallout 4player even turned their settlement into an iconicFallout 2location, using the game to pay tribute to an area from the series' past. Considering how popularFallout 4remains to this day, gamers can expect even more awesome settlement creations going forward.
Redditor bigladfogo300 shared their impressiveFallout 4settlement, which they have transformed into Shipment, as it appears numerous times in theCall of Dutygame series. The map’s design is relatively simple, andFallout 4’s shipping containers are perfect for creating the majority of its architecture for this build. Another player in the thread suggested that bigladfogo300 should create Nuketown next, as perhaps the series' most legendary small-scale map. The original poster replied, “Thanks for the idea my friend,” indicating that a Nuketown creation of this quality could be on the way in the future.
Fallout 4 Player Turns Settlement into Call of Duty’s Shipment
It isn’t clear if anyFallout 4settlement building modswere used to bring this creation to life, although Shipment itself has a simple enough layout that they may not have been required in this instance. It would be interesting to see what the purpose is of Shipment. They could expand on it and turn it into a fully-fledgedFallout 4settlement, or they could leave it on the map as it is, although this wouldn’t be particularly practical for in-game use.
It will be interesting to see what the near future holds for theFalloutseries. While it was revealed earlier this year thatBethesda wants to release games at a quicker rate, the studio remains extremely busy withThe Elder Scrolls 6’s development, leaving little room for a new mainlineFalloutgame. The developer could take aNew Vegasapproach, with the IP being handed off to a third-party to fill the gap, but this is purely speculation. Given the success of the TV show, hopefully Bethesda can figure out a solution that gives all of the franchise’s new fans something fresh to play.
