The wait for theNintendo Switch 2console continues, and it seems like it has been an eternity at this point. Fans have been waiting for official news about the Switch 2 for quite some time now, which makes every unofficial rumor and leak about the console all the more painful. Nevertheless, it appears leaks about theNintendo Switch 2have been surfacing more than ever here lately, suggesting the console’s release is not too far ahead.

There have been a variety of leaks about the Nintendo Switch 2 regarding its games and its specs, with one of the more recent leaks disclosing details about its design that are so explicit that a popularYouTuber 3D printed the Switch 2using the images. Despite the hype that these leaks can create, however, they are, at the end of the day, only leaks. As such, fans should bridle their expectations as much as possible, especially considering Nintendo’s tendency to play its cards extremely close to its chest.

Every Nintendo Switch 2 Leak Explained in Detail

The Switch 2’s Design Was Recently Leaked

The most recent leak about the Switch 2 is perhaps the most significant, as it appearsimages of the Switch 2’s design were leakedand there is apparently quite a bit of corroboration behind it. The design in the images showcases a much larger Nintendo Switch this time — possibly 8 inches larger — including the screen and the Joy-Cons. The Joy-Cons appear to have smoother, rounded corners, and the console itself seems to be a bit thicker than the first. The design of the Joy-Cons also implies they will attach to the console by pressing them onto each side of the Switch 2 rather than sliding them in from the top down.

Some of the Nintendo Switch 2’s Specs Have Reportedly Been Leaked

While the leaked design of the Switch 2 could be something to look forward to, its leaked specs might be even more so. Firstly, theSwitch 2 will seemingly feature backwards compatibilitywith games from the first Switch, although Switch 2 cartridges won’t be able to fit into the first console. As suggested by the images that were leaked of the Switch 2’s design, the Joy-Cons will reportedly magnetically attach to the console rather than sliding and clicking in. The dock for the Switch 2 will also apparently still have a USB-C port and even support 4K output, which may be the visual upgrade fans have been looking for. Finally, the Switch 2 may feature an improved kickstand with a damping bracket to improve angle adjustment.

Several of the Switch 2’s Games Have Already Been Leaked

Perhaps less exciting than leaks about the Switch 2 console itself, several games for the upcoming console have already been leaked. While it has been confirmed thatMy Time at Evershinewill be available on the Switch 2, one leak suggests that no fewer than threePokemongames are lined up for the Switch 2, with one of those presumably being the upcomingPokemon Legends: Z-A. Other Sega remakes and remasters have also been leaked for the Switch 2, includingJet Set Radio,Crazy Taxi,Golden Axe,Streets of Rage, andShinobi.

There are likely many more leaks to come, but these are the most recent leaks that have yet to be falsified. As the unannoucned officialrelease date for the Nintendo Switch 2grows ever closer, it can only be assumed that more leaks will surface, more rumors will circulate, and more hype will build for what very well could end up being the best-selling console of all time.
