Summary
Blizzard has announced its plans for Season 33: Shades of the Nephalem inDiablo 3. Following the release ofDiablo 4in 2023, Blizzard has continued to supportDiablo 3with new content. Season 33 will introduce new cosmetics, fresh journey rewards, unique class sets, and more.
In July 2024,Diablo 3launched Season 32: Ethereal Memory. One of the biggest changes found in this season revolves around Ethereal weapons. Each class has three unique Ethereal weapons, and if a player collects all 21 across all classes, they’ll earn a Feat of Strength called Ethereal Recollection, unlocking all Ethereal transmogrify options for future seasonal and non-seasonal gameplay. Those looking to unlock this feature will need to act fast, asDiablo 3’s Season 32 will end on October 20.
On October 25, Season 33: Shades of the Nephalem will begin, and Blizzard has detailed what it will add toDiablo 3. As the name suggests, this season’s theme willfocus on the powerful Nephalem, the main character’s race. During Season 33, when players activate a shrine or pylon, a shadow clone of their class will spawn for one minute, randomly adopting one of three predetermined builds. Additionally, Kanai’s Cube will receive a fourth slot that will allow the same choices as the first three.
Season Journey Rewards
Haedrig’s Gift
Season 33’s Conquests include challenges like Sprinter/Speed Racer, in which players must completethe entireDiablo 3campaignat level 70 in under an hour. Additionally, Speed Demon/Need for Speed requires players to finish a Torment X Nephalem Rift at level 70 in under 2 minutes, while Avarice/Avaritia requires a 50-million gold streak outside The Vault or Inner Sanctum. Finally, there’s The Thrill/Superhuman Conquest, demanding that players beat a level 45 Greater Rift solo without any set items equipped.
The new season also introduces fresh class sets. Completing Acts Two, Three, or Four of the Season Journey will grant players three Haedrig’s Gifts, each containing a few pieces of a complete set. The set received depends on which class opens the Haedrig’s Gift. Players will need to open all three gifts with the same class to obtain an entire class set, and only onefull set can be earned inDiablo 3’sSeason 33. Shades of the Nephalem kicks off on October 25 at 5 p.m. PDT, while Season 32 will officially conclude on October 20.
