Summary
Bungie teases subclass ability and super buffs coming toDestiny 2alongside the launch of Episode: Revenant in October. Players only have a couple of weeks left to wrap up any outstanding content left unfinished with Episode: Echoes, with the second major piece of content centered around The Fanatic and the Scorn set to arrive inDestiny 2starting on October 8.
With the new content rapidly approaching, Bungie has started to share new details over the past few weeks, giving fans a heads-up on some of the bigger changes coming to the game. Previously, Bungie revealed changes to the weekly rotation of Raids and Dungeons, not only adding Warlord’s Ruin to the rotation, but also making theseDestiny 2activities much easier to farm for gear. Essentially, each week will feature two dungeons and raids to pick from, cutting down the time needed to wait for content to cycle back around in half. However, Bungie also just revealed massive new changes for all three subclasses.
Inside theweekly blog post, Bungie confirmed that the Power Band is rising by 10 when Episode: Revenant arrives. With the new Hard Cap set at 2010, players will also notice that certain subclass elements are also being improved, namelyLightning Surge for Stormcallers and Prismatic Warlocks, which amplifies the player and offers 50% damage resistance vs Titan Barricades during the lunge animation. Prismatic Hunter is also getting projectile tracking and aim assist on the Hailfire Spike grenade to help with consistency in hitting targets, while Threaded Spector is getting a 33% boost to detonation damage in PvE. Unfortunately, they’re also seeing a few nerfs with Combination Blow and the Swarm Grenade as Bungie identified both as being “a little too hot” with players.
Destiny 2 Making Big Changes to Roaming Supers
However, perhaps the biggest news is thatDestiny 2roaming style super abilities are finally getting some buffs to help them not only feel better to use, but also improve the player’s survivability. Many of these abilities have been left by the wayside in favor of the more meta styleDestiny 2support supers like Nightstalker Hunters or Dawnblade Warlocks. In terms of the changes, Bungie has outlined a number of them including:
In addition to these buffs, Bungie also admitted that the studio is looking into potentially increasing roaming Super uptime during Revenant Act 2 so they’re available more often for players to use. No specific details yet, but the blog does ask for players to stay tuned.
Alongside these ability changes, Bungie also revealed that it is makingTitan players the true tank class inDestiny 2once Episode Revenant launches. One of the bigger class changes is that the Titan’s Barricade, Unbreakable shield, and Sentinel Shield’s guard taunt enemies, effectively pulling them away from teammates. The abilities have also been buffed with more resistance and damage blocking power to help hold back enemies, with even more improvements being made to the Prismatic subclass, as well as making unpowered melee hit harder than Warlock and Hunters.
