Bungie announced plans to make it easier forDestiny 2players to farm Dungeons and Raids from the weekly rotator playlist once Episode Revenant launches in October. While Episode Echoes continues with its final act, Bungie has started looking ahead, givingDestiny 2players a glimpse at what is around the corner. While Bungie has yet to really detail the content coming to Episode: Revenant, the studio has begun to talk about some of the gameplay and mechanical changes that are coming to the game next month.
This discussion regarding the future ofDestiny 2is an important one, as fans have grown increasingly concerned about the franchise’s future. Following the second round of major layoffs at Bungie, rumors began circulating that the team was shifting to smaller scale content additions, focusing on gameplay centered around highly replayable activities.Bungie teased the future ofDestiny 2and recently doubled down on that with news set to arrive next week regarding Codename: Frontiers. On top of the long term future, Bungie has also begun discussing upcoming changes and plans for Episode: Revenant, including a new way for players to farm gear.
Inside its weeklyblog post, Bungie revealed an upcoming change toDestiny 2’s weekly Dungeon and Raid rotator playlist. As fans are well aware, each week during the reset, the game cycles through 1 Dungeon and Raid activity to be featured, intending to allow players an easier opportunity to farm the armor and weapons inside those missions. However, Bungie recently admitted that player feedback has indicated it has become frustrating trying 6to farm specific gear when a certain raid or dungeon isn’t made available that week.
Destiny 2 Doubling Dungeon and Raid Activities During Episode: Revenant
With Episode: Echoes,Destiny 2is adding Warlord’s Ruinto the playlist, bringing the totals to 8 dungeons and 8 raids. To allow for better farming methods, Bungie is expanding the weekly rotator to offer 2 raids and dungeons each week instead of the usual 1 and 1. The change is being made so that the maximum amount of time between when a specific activity is featured will only be 4 weeks instead of the usual 8. Starting on October 8, players will see Last Wish and Vow of the Disciple as featured Raids that week, while Shattered Throne and Duality are the Dungeons.
Ultimately, Bungie is hoping that this new system not only alleviates the current frustration as it makes certain missions available more often. Regardless, with Warlord’s Ruin being added into the mix, players will have a much more efficient way to farm some of the dungeon’s strongest weapons.Destiny 2players have highlighted Indebted Kindnessand the exotic void Sidearm Buried Bloodline as two can’t miss weapons, fitting nicely alongside fan favorite weapons like The Call, Choir of One, and others.
