Summary
CreativeDestiny 2fans are constantly showing off their own outfit designs inspired by characters from all sorts of franchises, with one player recently sharing a couple of custom-made outfits that resemble the two primary characters from Disney’sWALL-E. Whether customizing the perfect set of gear or cosplaying as fan-favorite fictional characters, dressing up is one of the most popular ways for Guardians inDestiny 2to pass the time when they’re not out slaying gods.
Destiny 2has always allowed players to be quite creative with their appearances, but the total variety of unique armor pieces, ornaments, and shaders has grown massive over the years. Though the game contains no shortage of armor ornament sets which are available largely via microtransactions, there’s still a vast array of armor pieces that can be earned for free through all kinds of activities, and players can mix and match different pieces to create nearly any appearance they could imagine for their Guardian. Bungie recently introduced a new armor set for each class based on original concept art as part of celebrations for the series' 10th anniversary.
One creative member of theDestiny 2community, known online as Julicious, recently shared some outfit designs of their own which allow players to dress up as WALL-E and EVE fromWALL-E. Though the outfits do contain some armor pieces that are typically only obtained fromsets that are sold for Silver inDestiny 2’s shop, they can also appear occasionally in the Bright Dust section of the store. The outfits themselves look fantastic while doing a great job of portraying the movie’s iconic robots, and make for the perfect pair of costumes for Guardian couples to wear together.
How Destiny 2 Players Can Recreate These WALL-E Inspired Outfits
The fan behind thesecustomDestiny 2outfits did share the shadersand armor pieces used, though this does involve quite a variety. For the WALL-E outfit, players will need to make sure they’ve got the Gilded Frost, Gambit Blackguard, Skele-Ghaul, and Carrhae Black shaders to pull off the look, but they’ll also require the Sublime Mask, Vakarian Grips, First Ascent Cloak, and Substitutional Alloy Vest ornaments, the last of which can only occasionally be obtained from Xur if players don’t already own it. The designer also went with the Balance of Power exotic leg armor for this look.
Conversely, players looking to recreate the EVE-themed outfit will need the Rivalry Resolute, Monochromatic, Horizons Beyond, and Rustberry shaders to complete the look. In terms of ornaments, they’ll need the Pathfinder’s Helmet, Omega Mechanos Grasps, Veteran Legend vest, Whisper of the Victor Strides, and the Warm Winter Cloak. Players who are missing some of these ornaments or shaders shouldn’t worry though, as there are plenty ofother available armor ornaments inDestiny 2which should serve as decent substitutes.
