Choir of One is an interesting Exotic Auto Rifle that was releasedwith Echoes Act 3inDestiny 2, and it has three catalysts you’re able to get and choose from. You need to find secret chests in the Exotic Mission part of Act 3’s story in order to unlock them, and if you don’t know where to look, it can be really challenging to figure it out for yourself.
If you don’t have Choir of One yet, you need to complete the Encore Exotic quest to get the Auto Riflealongside the Pattern for crafting. Once that’s done, the work starts to unlock the Subsistence, Destabilizing Rounds, and Onslaught Catalysts. You’ll have to get specific quests from Banshee to see what you need to do to get each, and once you’ve completed the quest, hand it back to Banshee to unlock each Catalyst.
How To Get The Subsistence Catalyst For Choir Of One
Once you’ve completed Encore for the first time inDestiny 2, head to Banshee-44, and he’llgive you the ‘//Choir: Eternal’ quest. This asks you to find a secret chest in Encore and complete the mission on Expert difficulty.
To find the first chest, you need to firstcomplete the specimen research for the NES007sample and collect the Conductor’s Imprint Codes from Failsafe. Then, launch into the Encore mission and progress until you reach the first puzzle where you have to run around with connection nodes. Instead of going straight to progress the quest, look for asecret area on the leftand go through until you see a Vex Spire in the middle of this room. Access the spire; and cubes will start appearing above your head.
You need to shoot the cubes in a specific order, and you’ll be able to tell which cube to shoot by looking for asmaller, white cubethat appears underneath them. Once the first four cubes have been destroyed, four more will appear around the room. Follow the same process; look for the smaller white cube, and shoot the cube above it to sync the system properly. Once this is done, a chest will appear — this is the chest you’re looking for to complete //Choir: Eternal.
How To Get The Destabilizing Rounds Catalyst For Choir Of One
The Destabilizing Rounds Catalyst can be acquired by completing the ‘//Choir: Upheaval’ quest, which asks you tocomplete the Encore missionon Expert difficulty inDestiny 2and unlock another secret chest. To get this chest, you need to progress to the end of the quest where you reach theIshtar Research Facility.
When you first enter the room, look for a Vex Spire in front of a dormant portal. Access the spire, and the portal will open, then go through it. You’ll find yourself in a room with three portals, and you need togo through the left one.
You’ll find yourself in a cave-like system, and there will be a DELETION node in front of you, near the entrance (DELETION node one). For now, go past this node and run through the cave system until you see a second DELETION node (DELETION node two). When you see this node, go along the path opposite it, and you’ll find a DELETION Module Bearer — a Minotaur. Kill the Minotaur, then grab the DELETION Module it dropped. Before you head back, turn the corner to find aVex Disc.
Now, head back to DELETION node one, install the Module, then head into the new pathway that was previously blocked. You’ll find a second DELETION Module Bearer here. Defeat the Minotaur, then grab the DELETION Module it dropped and backtrack toDELETION node twoyou found near the first Module Bearer. Insert the Module here, then go back again to grab the Module from DELETION node one. Backtrack to the second DELETION node, go through the path, and find a third node and another Vex Disc to grab behind it.
Once you’re done here, take both the DELETION Modules from their nodes and head back to DELETION node one. Insert the Module to open the pathway, then look for another DELETION node on your left. Open it up to a smaller cave, which you need to go through to findanother Vex Disc.
Grab the DELETION Module you just used and go straight from the cave, then right up the stairs in this room. Place the DELETION Module in the next node you find. There’s anACCESS Module Bearerin this room that you need to kill for an ACCESS Module. Grab it, then backtrack a bit to find the ACCESS node near the most recent DELETION node you opened.
Head inside to find and kill thePARTITION Module Bearer, and look for a Vex Disc in the very center of this room. Grab the PARTITION Module, insert it in the only node in this room, and you’ll find yourself back near the entrance where this all started. But, now, the chest you need will have spawned.
If this doesn’t work, and you’ve possibly missed a Vex Disc, or you’re getting lost; remember tofollow your Unknown Proximity Sensor— this will lead you to all the Vex Discs in the area.
How To Get The Onslaught Catalyst For Choir Of One
The final quest Banshee-44 will give you will be ‘//Choir: Escalate,’ and like the others, it requires you to complete Encore on Expert difficulty and find a secret chest. This chest can be found in the same place as you found the one for the Destabilizing Rounds Catalyst, sostart in the Ishtar Research Facilitynear the end of the Encore mission.
Like before, go through the portal that opens when you access the Vex Spire, butgo into the right portal instead of the left this time. Kill all the Vex, but pay special attention to the two Hydras on either side of the room.
Once all the Vex are killed, a Minotaur and aCONNECTION Modulewill spawn near the entrance. Kill the Minotaur so it will drop a beam weapon, then grab it. Use the CONNECTION Module in the node that’s closest to the entrance where you came in.
Now, go to where you killed the first Hydra on the left to spot aVex circleand stand in the center of it. You’ll see rings spawn all around you, but you want to aim the beam weapon in the center of the ones closest to the entrance.Aim for the mirror that spawnedwhen you used the CONNECTION Module, and you’ll destroy some orbs inside.
The orbs look similar to the small, white cubes you had to shoot in //Choir: Eternal.
Repeat this process a few times by looking for where the orbs inside the main construct spawn. Take the CONNECTION Module to the relevant node, install it, and stand in the circle to aim at the mirrors. Once you’ve done this enough times, asecond CONNECTION nodewill spawn at the back of the room.
Grab this second CONNECTION Module and install it next to the node where the orbs start spawning. Essentially, you’re doing the same thing again, but you need more mirrors to do it. The CONNECTION nodes are there to spawn the mirrors and kill the new orbs that spawn inside.
If yourbeam weapon’s ammoever runs out, another Minotaur will spawn each time, so you can get a new one.
Once you’re finished, the construct will disappear, and you’ll find the chest you need in the middle of the room. With that, you’ll have completed all three quests tounlock the Exotic Catalystsfor Choir of One.
Best Catalyst For Choir Of One In Destiny 2
The best Catalyst among the three for Choir of One isOnslaught. This Catalyst boosts your rate of fire as you kill enemies, making it possible to do more damage quickly. The only issue you may find with it, though, is that it can get quite heavy on ammo use.
you may work around this by leveling the weapon andunlocking theAlloy Magazinewhen you reshape it.Alloy Magazinegives you faster reloads when the magazine is empty, which essentially makes sure that you can get as much damage out as you can with the ammo you do have.
Subsistencepartially reloads the magazine from reserves when you defeat targets, andDestabilizing Roundscause nearby targets to become volatile when you land final blows. Both have their place, and it’s not to say they’re bad, but Onslaught givesChoir of One an edge in battleinDestiny 2.
